hello, i don't know if this is the right place or not, since its i'm pretty sure the problem lies with Vista. previously, when i play any game it will automatically reduce its own resolution so the game will be full screen even its running lower than native resolution. today, it doesn't automatically adjust the resolution, what i get now is a tiny little display in the center with black screen surrounding it, mouse is limited to the tiny box(pic attached). this applies to all game that runs in full screen. any of the sifu knows how to solve it? the gfx is Intel GMA X3100. no setting changes were made in between as they happen today.

Its the graphic driver... U will need to update it...
Mine was the same before i updated it and i had to edit the registry to change it...
After updating, it automatically stretches itself to fullscreen with no black corners...

do the settings in the driver...
there should be 3 options:
1) No stretching (wat u re seeing now) 2) Stretch but keep aspect ratio 3) Stretch to fullscreen

my native resolution is 1280x800, i have never change any settings in the Intel's display setting, the setting is always Full Screen (No Border). the driver is the latest from Fujitsu dated 13/9/2007 (v7.14.10.1329). installing the driver from Intel's site will make me lose some functions.
now i have formated to Vista Business, using that driver, still having the same problem. it didnt appear last time until out of nowhere it gone haywire

Well, there is 2 things you can try.
1) See Display Setting -> Monitor : if you are using the right graphic card
2) Desktop -> Right Click -> Graphic Options -> Panel Fits -> Full Screen (No Border)
See if it works. Hope it helps.

i've discovered, its more to Vista's problem i think. changing screen resolution under Personalisation > Display Settings will cause that black box problem. but if i change resolution via the Intel's Graphics Options, it fits to the screen.
