i know courier service like Poslaju also has livestock.. like courier fish from melaka to KL.. but i'm not sure if they offer this from west malaysia to east malaysia. and depends on what animal, dog and cat always need medical check up, because sarawak and sabah trying to be free rabbies.

comming from the mouth of a guy who works in the airlines industry( ehem ehem...bangga aku) biggrin.gif
please take note...its not a easy task of shipping/courier'ing live stck animals from one destination to another even domestic movements.
Most airlines have strict restrictions in carrying lifestocks and those who does...their law requires a lot of documentations ie:health certification from veterinary official in state of departure, certificate of origin by local chambers of commerce, import permit(valid for 1 month only) from state veterinary dept. kuala lumpur plus documentation for custom clearance at customs point.
for health certificate: issued within 7 days of transportation must indicate the age, sex, colour, the animal is healty and free from any signs of any infectious or any type of penyakit yg boleh berjangkit and paling mustahak dlm masa 6 bulan kuarintin haiwan itu xdak rabies and has not been imported or exported to other places.
normaly kuarintin for cats is minumum 7 days for animals from KL but from Miri/sarawak(KCH) it will depends on the state import regulations.

the above info is only for animals tapi kalo nak transport ur pet along with the food...then there will be other documents needed for the food also.

below are the handling are based on malaysian airlines rates:
since you said you want to bring your cat so below rate i have calculated based on agak2 berat of your cat( this means there could be extra or less charges after reweigh of the cat at the customs point).

per animal RM300.00
per kennel RM30.00
per weight RM50.00( below 100kgs ).

so agak2 the total handling charges only will be up to RM380.00( this has not incuded your air freight, fuel surcharge, terminal fees, AWB's documentations, customs clearance & security surcharge) tongue.gif

lagi satu...this is from my experience working with the industry...malaysian goverment is not as strict wen it comes to handling live animals( exoecially domesticated animals) we are very famous for loosing our pets in the airport it self and there have been many cases in the past ...so think carefully of bringging or taking your pet back home from one place to another...its not worth it if something goes wrong...

hehehe....hope my 0.01cent info could be helpfull to those out there... tongue.gif

i've someting to ask for ur opinion..
yesterday i went to c vet coz something weird happened to my kiki..
bulu-bulu atas mata dia habis gugur..
my kiki is a DLH, so sampai nampak die punya skin bha bila bulu dia gugur..
so,acording to d vet,my kiki was infected by fungus..
d vet said no need to worry and he gave kiki anti fungus medicine(syrup)..
d vet also gave her ubat cacing(tablet)..so its fine for me at dat time..
during d way back to my house, kiki looked very mabuk2..maybe the effect of d medicine..
still ok 4 me..d problem now is,my kiki starts to pee anywhere as she like..dis situation never happened b4 this bha..
is this normal for a kitten after taking medicine?she seemed like cant control her pee..macam tak lawas pn ada..kejap-kejap kencing..
dah tak sempat nak cari tandas dia..buang ja mana-mana dia suka..blakang tv la...tepi dinding la..pening beb nak cuci.. sad.gif

from the pic yet it look like fungus, and sometimes it can be mites too.

the mabuk mabuk, yes it can be medicine reaction.

but as for the pee, weird... why out of the blue. cannot control pee is not a good sign. most cat especially male, who end up pee at different place - will infected by bladder stone.

did you call the vet? did the vet tell you what medicine they give to your kitten? did you asked what is the reaction?

if still continue like this, you better call the vet and ask.

----

Lesson of the day, every time you go to the vet, ALWAYS BE FUSSY/CEREWET CUSTOMER.

this is very important. ask the vet what medicine they give, the name of the pills, what is the reaction, if there is reaction - when it will stop, etc etc.

why? this is so important for you to know. never put 100% on the vet hand. if anything happen, at least you know what is that kitten have gone through. if you change vet, at least you know what kind of medicine the old vet gave your kitten. so there won't be mixture of tablet, and there won't be same type of medicine.

I don't mind to be cerewet customer, as long as my money worth for paying. as long as, me and my cat have the right to know what ever condition comes later.

remember - not all vet know what's going to happen after feeding the cat certain medicine. some of them just estimated what will happen. again, never put 100% on vet hand. they are referring to books. not to say they are stupid, but then, that is real life.. vet still refer to books. even judges/lawyer still referring to books.

This is Artemis II Kikuraides @ Kiki. Calico DLH of 5 months. I got an American Curl, but gave her to a friend when I adopted my ferret, Pandemonium.

The larger pic is the latest, taken at my Granny kampung house.

I am sorry about your Kiki... I hope she is getting better. I NEVER let my cat out of the house because my last cat was murdered by dogs. sad.gif [and my neighbour VERY expensive cat was cat-napped last year]

Your Kiki is out of balance because of the medicine.... so I think you should lessen the dose a bit. Don't they have a rub-on medicine for fungus?

I live near Alor Gajah town. smile.gif

Erm, my late Artemis I (deceased July 2008) got fungus from other cats too. Believe it or not... I just rub on some medicine for ringworm and the fungus is gone in less than a week! (But please, do not try this if you are not sure). The fur would regrow and your cat should be looking fine in a few weeks.

Ringworm is a type of fungus, that's why I use the said rub on medicine to combat my cat's illness.

Cute Didi. blush.gif

Hah! I used to work in Kapit, Sarawak and always lepak in Sibu. Been to Miri only once. biggrin.gif

p.s. - when I was in Sarawak I couldn't have a pet because I knew of the problems with airline live-stock policies. Quarantine? It would take 2 weeks to wait!

Hi elf, update my cat's status. Few days ago i bring my cat to vet. The vet said is fungal. Vet gave me two weeks table medicine and anti fungal shampoo.. the vet said it might take time to recover and ask me come back after two week time. So hopefully everything is fine after this.. blush.gif
Beside, my cat fur was drop quite alot recently, just wondering is because of the fungal? Coz two weeks ago i just change his food (IAMS to SP), so still duno is because the food cause him fur drop or fungal issue...

did you ask the vet what kind of fungal infection?

as far as i concern, if the case involve skin, it should be ringworm.

the fur drop not because of the food...

by nature, ringworm fungal will drop down the fur.. and you started to see spot patches on the body, under the stomach, tail, private part.

Dermatophytosis (ringworm) is caused by fungal spores in the environment and typically develops on the skin as lesions. It is highly contagious and affects both dogs and cats. Common symptoms include red, raised, crusty skin and circular patches of dry skin with hair loss.

Proper care will make the cat recover faster. Like, keep giving the medicine (don't skip). and frequent bath with anti fungal shampoo (if im not mistaken 2/3 times a week). Some use cone collar to avoid cat licking the body (since ringworm will make the body itchy, cat will keep licking it until the fur drop and dry). And don't skip the vet appointment. If the vet ask you to come back after 2 weeks, then visit them. using tablet and shampoo is the first method. there are some other ways, but you need to complete it step by step, see witch one is suitable for the ringworm condition now. discuss more with your vet, sure they will help.

anyway, just google around cat ringworm. you will get alot of answers.

take care!

i know why the vet do not give your shampoo... because your case, it may be other type of fungal... and the attack was around eyes. you cannot use shampoo at this place. very dangerous.

but for protection, like you scare the fungal move to new home around the body, yes then you need the shampoo and bath.

the one i used last time is Dermcare - Sebolyse (Clear Foam).

but for protection, like you scare the fungal move to new home around the body, yes then you need the shampoo and bath.

the one i used last time is Dermcare - Sebolyse (Clear Foam).
