hi, just wanna knw izit wrong for seller to jack up the price of his sales item using another acc??

For eg, Mr.A opened a thread selling his item at RM600. Some genuine forummer got interested on his item yt felt the price is too high and offered him RM500. Another genuine forummer got interested as well and offered a higher price of RM530.
From my point of view, i think Mr.A know his item is quite in demand, but might not secure the deal due to the price and some *reason*. Then suddenly Mr.A told those genuine forummer that someone, Mr.B is offering RM570 and those who really want it can quick grab it at RM600.
A checkup on the profile of Mr.B shows that this "person" have 0 post (no post at all, not even in places like kopitiam where post is not counted) and registered not long ago. So, we assume that the item will be sold to Mr.B at RM570. But the problem is, Mr.A is still frequently bumping his sales thread for almost a whole week after he said that Mr.B is offering RM570. So, the item is still available for sales??
I suspect that Mr.A is having another acc (Mr.B) and he use the name to jack up the price so other ppl will fall into his TRAP and offer RM600 for his item which is not even in really good condition. Even this Mr.B didn't online for quite some time, and his last online time is when Mr.A said Mr.B offer RM570.

Those who are interested to know more about it can PM me, I can give u the thread link and info. I will not post it here as I might be wrong about it.

You can PM any of the trade zone mod or staff to check on it. As the one you given here(topic link), there's nothing wrong with it. If you feel any particular thread is suspicious, just hit the report button. Duplicate account are always permaban when we spotted one within same thread.

^so you now know that he haven't sold the item. can you concluded this out?

1. There's possibility that something happen and deal not happen as earlier. Potential buyer might FFK or MIA. You cannot discard this scenario.

2. Seller use that as a tactic to hope to increase the bid offer, but we can't interrupt as we don't have access to their PM to check, and PM is not accessible to anyone as it is private and confidential.

3. Then why buy from the seller if you can found another seller that you can trust or offer a little more expensive than his?

4. Haven't you realize that most con-cases happen when buyer are desperate for the item and getting con because they are not taking precautions as they are desperate for it?

The thing we can do from our part of moderating would be checking out on your report on suspicious activity and proceed from there. If there's no case or nothing to suspect off, we'll move on with the reports. If there's activity like self talking, imitating sales which happen in trade zone section, both main account and duplicate account will be punished.

Likewise, if you are unhappy with his methods of trading, avoid it then. Why still want to purchase something from him/her when you can happily trading elsewhere with other member? His loss is your gain.

I'm sure it's his tactic to increase his price...and today he said he won't sell it unless he gets the price he wants..

not only sellers do that. i experienced that even buyers do that.
not wrong in a way trying to sell it at a higher price or probably he wasn't expecting to sell below the price he is selling.

buyers to get cheaper price, they probably do that. isn't very sincere way of selling and buying. all plain kiasu.

Not wrong la but if you know he's jacking up the price, don't buy from him lor... it's unethical but you can always give the item if the price exceeds your budget or the value you think it worths
