I would like to ask all casingless sifus a few question...

1) Where did u place ur casingless pc? eg , in ur room , confined room , living hall, etc..

2) How do you protect ur rig from "disaster" and unwanted trouble. eg. lizards going to ur pc , etc.

3) How is the air flow of casingless pc u think?

4) Do you buy or use any form of  "container" to hold ur component? ( If u do have pls recommend me thanks ) eg. hard disk bezel , motherboard box

5) Lastly do you think is casingless is an excellent idea?

I'm a used to be Casingless, but for sugestions:

2. no way what so ever to protect it from nature or freakin clumsiness.. you yourself have to be extra careful and try not to eat or drink near your caseless pc....

3. for air flow, I'd have to say it's better actually. I went caseless last time cause I was an active OCer. temps for my Q6600 caseless was as low as it can get without A/C....

4. no need container la. If you want to use container, why don't you use casing instead??? safer... and it's not caseless anymore leh...

5. a) it's great airflow means best for OCing... b) Dusts can get collected faster... seriously faster....

welll... that's my two bit... hope you get the picture... cheers

1)In my computer room

2) Well nothing actually.Lizard wont visiting my PC..maybe my Delta fans make them scared whistling.gif
Even the worst is ant..

3) I think much better?than the casing user.

4) Hmm mostly put ESD plastic cover.EG: Put motherboard on top of the motherboard box.Between the motherboard box and the motherboard,i put the motherboard ESD Plastic..Same for HDD..

5) Well, different people different answer. But for me,yes.Because if you use high dBA fans, the sound wont be so loud.If put in casing the sound is louder than casingless, this is because the sound is trapped inside the case thus making louder sound. But since im using casingless, there's nothing to trap the sound thus bit lower the sound.
EG:The fans actual dBA is 55.08dBA..
if using casingless maybe got around 45.09dBa..(JUST example)..
But yeah, dust is your main enemy now..But since its casingless, its not so hard to clean..Usually maybe Twice a month or once a month..

Your tangan gatal because you wan to take out and put back you hardware is it? With casing also can. Nowadays casing no need to use screw driver also can open the side casing.
