Hi,

When you install window xp for some motherboard with sata hard disk, you need to

Copy the sata driver to one diskette first,
Insert diskette when windows setup,
Press F6 in windows setup, to install 3rd driver..

Update your BIOS. Download and save your SATA driver to a floppy disk and when your installing Windows. Press a certain key and insert floppy disk and install SATA driver and continue Windows installation. Download SATA driver from your motherboard manufacturer website.

If you do not have a floppy drive, well, you're going to have to learn to do it the more complited way... nLite your drivers!

OR you can try change your SATA mode to IDE mode instead of AHCI or RAID or whatever it is set to. Well, of course, drawback is you won't be able to enjoy some of the SATA features.

You need the SATA driver save in Floppy / Pen Drive / CD / DVD during the installation, press F6 and look for the driver path.

Look for the correct driver to support your motherboard.

Sometimes, you need to go to BIOS and search for IDE mode on SATA drive or something like that.
