Lazy boy
I have both accounts, almost no difference between the two. LP is a more stable than GP; GP has "OMG moments" when you get something crazy like 190ms. |

I get 300-450ms without any service with a 1mb line from Streamyx. I'm loving it!

QUOTE(marcus1538 @ Oct 20 2008, 08:06 AM) Then you're going to hate me, too. I get around ~300ms at home on my 4Mbps Screamyx, and around ~200ms at work. A friend of mine who got sick of getting 500-800ms all the time cancelled his Screamyx and applied for Infolient. He hasn't gotten it yet, though. And I honestly don't know if it would be any better. I'll update you once he finds out. |

From my past experience gamepath gave me about 120-180ms during 11PM - 11AM at least (highest would be in the range of 200ish).

120-180ms is just pure sex..... Never in my life have I gotten anywhere below 400ms either in my house or in a cc. When I start WoW again on expac launch day, im gonna check out the trial man.
120ms..... If I still suck in arenas with this ping, I have to admit I suck in PvP. |

Yes. But that was before I shifted to another house. Now Im struggling hard to even get a normal playable stat even w my new 4mb connection. So much for a better faster connection pfft.

if 4mb connection and still lousy line, try doing a bandwidth test and if you get less than 75% of 4mb, spam streamyx with calls, make a report, keep updating them, don't forget to aggravate (their operatives damn stupid usually , you can fake a bad connection by manually disconnecting and connecting, they'll say wow your connection dc alot )... I did that until they fixed my line... now damn smooth to play for WoW... last time was 1500ms, now about 600, with gamepath it drops to 200-300

Unfortunately, even a 10Mbps connection won't help if your latency is high, which is Screamyx's major problem when it comes to online gaming. The Internet connection requirement for WoW is the humble 56k dial-up. The only way I know for you to improve your latency is to get a good IP address, like the 60.x range. I can get good ping rates on the 118.* or 124.* ranges, but the 60.x range gives me the best rate of 200-300ms. I'm staying in PJ, by the way. Which is rather surprising.
Luckily I can download the patches at 360++kB/s, so switching to 4Mbps wasn't a complete waste. |

Well the test that I ran before gets me over or approximately about the range of 75-80% off my 4mb connection. Normal browsing (except for certain webs such as DevianArt) is utterly smooth and download is arguably fast. Downloaded a game client off Softnyx (approximately 400mb) and to my surprise it took only about 10mins. I cant figure out the real issue tho. Whether it's the area or whatsoever. Im having trouble w my desktop now too.. guess my network card KOed and gonna get my new network card this Sat and aft that only I would be able to test everything out on my desktop. On my lappy w streamyx and izzi on my desktop now =/ Btw, is it me or w the new patch, the game seems laggy. Specially in AoE battle. I dont remember facing such graphic lags before the patch (running on GT8600 btw).

i've tried both.
gamepath is better, by a far margin. and is cheaper too i believe. PJ area, 118.* or 124.* IP range |

using streamyx 1mb package and any ip i get im having an average ping of 300-350ms. most favorable IP with the best latency play for me would be the 124 range i think.. whenever im on 60.48 range i feel sluggish sometimes with skills seems to get stuck.
