for that price, you dont have that big a choice of cymbals. RM600 will get you about two staggs. Try raising your budget abit.

If youre looking for a professional crash such as the A custom line or the AAX line, it will be alot more. But for RM600 you can probably get your hands on some Stagg SH crashes. Around 16" to 17" should be good for you as you play rock and want little 'ring' which im assuming you mean quite fast.

Get something thin too and if your style of rock is quite heavy, get something trashy. For RM300 each average you have very little choice, but let me tell you this. DONT GET BRASS. get bronze cymbals, preferably B20s. Staggs series' are all B20 bronze excluding theyre CXG series. The prices are cheap because they arent made by a major brand and are made in china, though they are high quality for a good price. They might not be your ideal sound, but theyre your best bet for that budget.

The DH series is also really good, but abit too high for your budget. Also try and get used if you can, good deals come by every now and then. Eventhough some cymbals are used don't be afraid to buy them, because they don't lose durability as they get used more but actually their sound gets bettter usually because its more 'broken' into. wink.gif

Of course zildjian and sabian will be superior to stagg due to staggs minimal lathing and hammering, but for your budget, get some staggs. biggrin.gif

Don8ld: Not everyone can afford Z customs. You're very *ahem* pampered. sweat.gif
