Bonus share and share dividend is 2 completely different issues.

I don't understand ? Mind elaborate ? notworthy.gif

Bonus is deduct from share premium/ reserves/ retained profit and distribute to shareholder. Normally higher ratio e.g. 1:4 or so. The pay up capital will increase by the proportion.
Share dividend is distributing treasury share (from stock buy back) to existing shareholder as dividend. Normally lower ratio e.g. 1:25. The pay up capital remain unchanged. But this dividend is not taxable as normal dividend.
