to transfer into your ps3 from pendrive, create files and sub files like this.
PS3>UPDATE

and put the update file into UPDATE.
At the XMB on your ps3, go to system update and there'll be an option to transfer from your pendrive

Yeah i tried my gf's one at mine and the speed was pretty great.
Didn't try playing any ps3 games online but could connect PSN though so i thought it was okay..haih!

Am testing out the p1 Wimax thingy at the moment.. I'm able to play online in Resistance 2.. quite smoothly.

Disconnected as in the power went off?
If so that's one of the things that bricks a lot of PS3's. Power off while PS3 being updated.
We've had a few problems like that. Search our threads to find some solutions

Yar can only get NAT 3. am testing it at moment. Only NAT 3 and no UPnP.
However..
I'm able to easily play Resistance 2 online.. Street Fighter as well..
Need to find other gauges and test..

lol.. other than online gaming it's quite stable.. no disconnections from PSN.. downloads are MUCH faster too.. updates and whatnot.
Sigh.. need to experiment more before the 15 days trial is over.

Fact is we can already purchase stuff from SG PSN so I don't really see the big deal here. Downloads and whatnot in the MY PSN would also STILL be considered R3 versions so really..no biggy.

Well, obviously they have noticed that there are PS3 gamers here in M'sia hence the official launching, and if they 'say' that they're gonna launch the MY PSN site sometime down the line..soon, then all the better!
