Sega: Outrun Online Arcade next week, contest announced
QUOTE ![]() Sega has announced that Outrun Online Arcade will be landing on XBLA and the European PSN next week, on April 15 and 16, respectively. The XBLA version will be available for a decent 800, and the PSN version comes in at £7.99 / €9.99 (the game isn't coming to PSN in the US). We should remind readers that publishers have revealed incorrect release dates for Xbox Live Arcade titles before, but it would certainly make sense for both versions to release during the same week. Sega Europe also announced an Outrun Online Arcade competition, the winner of which will receive a trip to Maranello, Italy, the home of Ferrari. The competition will be a simple race to the finish line with no restrictions on vehicle choice, meaning players can use whatever cars they manage to unlock in the game. The press release even suggests that players choose the easy route offered in the game. A registration page for the competition will launch alongside the game next week. Damnit!!!! Sega, be smart and at least release it in Asian PSN!! Source This post has been edited by snipersnake: Apr 10 2009, 09:16 AM |

Kiasu Playstation!!!
SINGAPORE: Local professionals and budding video game developers, rejoice! There’s now a fresh avenue for game developers in Singapore to acquire a new skill that might take them to the world stage. Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), in co-operation with Sony Computer Entertainment Asia (SCE Asia) and its training partner Premium Agency (PA), has set up a $4-million Games Resource Centre at its premises to train students and industry professionals to develop games on the PlayStation3 (PS3) and PlayStationPortable (PSP) platforms. The two platforms were the top video game consoles of choice amongSingaporeans for the second consecutive year in 2008, according to market research firm, Growth from Knowledge. The three parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding yesterday that saw NYP receiving 50 PS3 and 10 PSP development kits. The collaboration will make NYP the first education institution in Singapore to be equipped with PS3 and PSP development kits. Mr Chan Lee Mun, NYP’s principal and CEO, believes that the partnership will enhance NYP’s “student’s creative and technical abilities, making them more marketable to employers and well-poised to meet the industry’s growing need for professional games developers”. Three NYP staff from the School of Interactive and Digital Media are in Tokyo on a three-month course at PA. They will be back in June to incorporate the first PlayStation module into the Specialist Diploma Games Development coursein July. “We believe that our partnership will be able to bring out the best in this generation of students who will impact both their local and global game industries,” said Mr Tetsuhiko Yasuda, president of SCE Asia. need experts in UTM la weii! |

QUOTE(lapaq @ Apr 30 2009, 03:29 AM) 1. well..the dev INTENDED you to play with diff difficulty settings so gamers with diff skills could get more enjoyment out of it...For me I play Fallout at Very Hard difficulty as I found that the enemies are far too easy to kill with normal difficulty settings...hence I'd get more enjoyment in playing in Very Hard Mode. pakcik beli Marvel vs Capcom 2 dak?I has little to do with replayability but infact they had to do it if they want games to really enjoy it... I remember the second jas and daxter game on the ps2...it sort of a sandbox game..but they made it too easy hence enjoyed it lesser than say Ratched when the made it with difficulty settings. Well different strokes for different people I guess. 2. Another case of different strokes for different people I guess. |
