Anyone here installed Home beta before? I mean by the invitation one. How do we actually install it, can it be downloaded using a P.C, it will take forever to download 3GB's of data from the PS3.

The main download only 77mb...u'll first started in ur virtual condo, but if u want to go out to another location (e.g. to central plaza), u'll prompted to download another batch of file...

home installer isnt that big.u need to DL everything in home after u install home software.

you can download it separately.
lepak in the virtual condo,while waiting for the central plaza to be downloaded(about 35+ megs)
once there,you can click on the theatre(or other places) and walk around the plaza while waiting for them to finish downloading

dont be surprised if you get disconnected for no reason,though it's the staple of HOME

@skid - there's a trick to that, go to selvam and buy one month old magazine, u can get 60% off the original price, this goes to all mags, happy hunting

i read in this thread that some ps3s' hang after updating the latest firmware(2.53).just to be sure, it only hangs sometimes during online is it?shouldn't be any problem whatsoever if offline right?cos now i'm going to update my 2.36 firmware to the newest fw.

Been on 2.53 since it launched.

Never did my PS3 hang yet, online or offline.

Mine's stable as well, no crashes yet.
