Safe deposit boxes - so rare in PJ / KL, why?

Public Bank in PJ state got safe deposit box. I'm planning to get 1 there too. But gotta wait for the long waiting list. Always full because of high demand. You can buy insurance to insure your personal stuff. Like someone mentioned before, you just gotta declare the value in your safe. Then the bank will determine the amount of insurance premium. I think some bigger banks in KL sure have safe deposit boxes. Just call em up & ask. How about big banks like HSBC in KL?
