Nitric oxide is a powerful vasodilator, meaning it will dilate (read: enlarge the diameter of) your blood vessels.
Excessively dilating blood vessels may lead to undesirable result such as anaphylactic shock, a type of cardiovascular shock caused by the dilation of all blood vessels due to massive histamine release in the body.
Well, it is a bad example though, since anaphylactic shock is an allergic reaction which means unless you're allergic to the product we're concerned here, you won't get it.
