1) Career path in Quintiq. – Done

Before answering all the questions above, let me briefly introduce myself. I’m 25 years boy, which graduated from locate colleges. I being working with since Feb of 2007(My second jobs) as Quintiq Specialist (External Title: IT Consultant).

1) Career path in Quintiq
In generally, there 5 major post/jobs scope available in Quintiq. Personnel in Quintiq might have more than one jobs scope.

Quintiq Specialist – This is the entry level for most of the employee in Quintiq. The major task of QS is to learn QUILL (our own language) and implementing it into our project. (Quintiq is focuses on 3 industry fields – 1. Metal and Manufacturing 2.Workforce 3. Logistic)

Business Consultant – There is an alternative of QS (Less coding, more analysis), there is BC. Jobs scope of BC is to studying customer problem and written into Quintiq Business Analysis document. (BC is the once which is mostly communicate with customer. )

Project Manager – Same as other company, managing the projects.

Algorithm Export – In Quintiq there are 3 types of optimization algorithm, POA (Path Optimization Algorithm) and CLP (Constraint Logic Programming) which is in-house build and CPLEX is purchased from ILOG. AE is people which with special skillset to map the Object into optimization algorithm, and the magical things happen.

Technical Consultant – Lastly, TC is people which work closely with R&D. They will know mostly how component behaves and works (Detail : How memory usage and how to tune the performance i). Their jobs is mostly to design system architecture for project, review code and perform implementation on client side.

First thing first...what is the salary range for the entry level Quintiq Specialist? What is the requirement for applying to job?
Where is it located?
What's the working environment?
Any training?
Possible Overseas travel?

Entry Level : Smart poeple with OOP experince
Salary Range : Always the Top on same level of ppl
Working Environment : Everythings is open..(I will talk about this later)
Training : Ya! training is provided in Quintiq

What should the candidate expect in the interview process?

Basically all the candidate would need to go through interview.
First interview - (Approximately 2-3 hours)

Interviewer : Director
Objectives :
1. Explain where Quintiq stands, Organization chart Quintiq and Quintiq working cultures.
2. Know about you, in term of personality, working attitude.
3. At the end, evaluate you whether able to adapt to Quintiq culture.

Seeker people which consist of :
Passionate person, good self learner (How to learn things in effective and efficient ways) and also good listener as well.

Second interview - (Approximately 3-4 hours)
Interviewer : Team Leader
Objectives :
1. Evaluate your learning speed
2. Evaluate your Object Oriented in practical way
---Learning materiel is given, and you need to come out with something which is requested.[Programming Stuff]
3. Lastly evaluate how smart you are. (Some IQ questions...)

Nope, meterial will be given during the interview.

I am also Working in one of the best Quintiq software development company.
i am working on maintenance of supply chain optimization, and supply chain management.

We have Quintiq Application to manage both side supply optimization and management.

Mean you're not working in Quintiq, but in a company that using Quintiq Application?

Now only realize there is software development partner with Quintiq.

Yes, I an not Quintiq Application Developer
I am working in company which is Quintiq Application Suite.

One of my friend's company has Quintiq as their vendor...from what i heard, they are good in pushing away faults and responsibilities....

when quintiq promised a new model or new core software release, it always has to be delayed by at least one week...the excuse they give is they want to have more verification and do more testing before release to clients...but when the model/ software delivered to my friend's company, there are still lots of bugs...apparently the Quintiq software also the highest memory consumer, constantly caused the machine hang....

but he said (from what he heard from the vendor that came to her office) working in Quintiq is fun....hmm...i think unless u do not wish to explore other programming language, then working as Quintiq Specialist will only make you expert in their language (i heard from my friend too that the vendor use their own language)

anyway, i think you should try first before judging from what people said....maybe you will enjoy working in quintiq

i will have a 2nd interview soon. I've been told that I need to:

1. Learn about Quintiq system
2. Study the case study
3. Develop a solution using the system.

Can anyone elaborate more on this? Do I need to write codes, queries and design the interface using Quil?

Can anyone describe the "Quintiq" IDE ? Isit like visual studio/ eclipse /netbeans ??
