Hi, I want to transfer my gym membership at Celebrity Fitness at Sunway Pyramid, the reason simply being that I'm graduating this June and will be going back to hometown.

Just to let you know that the duration left for my contract is irrelevant. Because once transferred to a new individual, the contract will be deemed renewed and the same terms and conditions will still be applied on the new member. Therefore once transferred, a new contract will be served on you again and therefore the minimum period of 12 months contract period will have to be follow, any termination of the contract before 12 months period will incur a penalty fee of RM400.

The monthly fee is RM145 per month provided that you are a student at age 24 or below. Otherwise, a higher rate will be applied.

Also, there will be a transfer fee of RM109 involved. But this will need to pay by you (transferee). Because I had already paid a deposit of RM139 for the last month of my contract and after the transfer it will be transfer/credited to your contract as well. So it means you will not be required to pay for the deposit for your last month of the contract.

Means total you need to pay on the day of transfer will be RM109 (transfer fee) + RM145(monthly fee) = RM254. (unless different monthly rate apply)

So if you need it please PM and let me know as soon as possible so that arrangement of a date can be made for the transfer...

I have a membership at True Fitness and i want to transfer name to my brother but was told by gym manager that its not transferable. It is a contaract, all paid for..etc...

I have a doctors letter , gave them, now they want a letter from hospital pulak.

I feel that True Fitness is full of sh*t..but anyway.....

So my question is, is membership really non-transferable?

Anyway if someone can help me :

why don't you go another branch and ask for the transfer issue?
and you mind to tell me that your membership is basic, gold or platinum passport?

Hi, I just want to let you know that i had that same problem as well. I had a valid reason for terminating/transfering with solid letter/proof but they didn't allow it so I made a huge hoo-haa about it and protested against. I didn't give up and fought with them for almost 2months as they kept delaying and unfulfilling their promises. And at the end, they finally allowed it.

There are too many cases like this coming from TF. Too many complaints have been made. Super conjob if you ask me.

- all club membership would be much more expensive...and they already increase all their membership prices as they are expanding...

If i transfer to U, u only need to pay rm165 (last month deposit) + rm109 (processing fee) = rm274 (i already bear the joining fees for u)

Everytime their sign up fee is different, depends on promotion...

Reason of transferring : Relocating soon to other country, so can't join anymore.

The 'manager' called and said..its non transferable , but i remember being told by the CONsultant ( conned indeed) that transfer is not a problem...

Am really pissed off with them now.
