Hi guys, if you have studied/worked in Cyberjaya before, or you are staying in Serdang - you would know that Serdang is a food heaven with many good restaurant/stalls hidden in the many small roads in the town. I want to compile a list of the good food, so please help out if you can.

1. Ikan Bakar Garam (Salted BBQ Fish) - Behind the hokkien association? Not very sure
2. Weng Heong BBQ Chicken/Duck/Pork Rice shop - just after Public Bank
3. Farmland Porridge Steamboat - Opposite South City Plaza
4. Leong Ya Yong Tau Fu/Ji Bao Gai - Opposite Serdang KTM
5. Sister Lam Yong Tau Fu - On the way to Serdang town from Equine Park
6. Hakka Yong Tau Fu near market
7. Cheng Fatt Restaurant
8. Chinese restaurant (uses charcoal to cook noodles, opposite Cheng Fatt)
9. Hoi Tong BBQ Steamboat Restaurant @ Bukit Serdang
10. Hakka Village Restaurant @ Bukit Serdang
11. K.C.W Curry Fish Head @ Serdang Raya (same row with no.12's Pan Mee)
12. Pan Mee (night only) @ Serdang Raya - in front of a car repair shop
13. Ye Ren Bak Kut Teh + Steamed Ikan Haruan + Spicy Chicken + Siong Tong La la
14. Yap Beng Dry Bak Kut Teh + Stir Fried Shark @ Equine Park

I went to the KCW curry fish head recently, and I must say the quality is now terrible compared to a few years back sad.gif

same goes to the leong ya yong tau fu / ji bao gai, terrible compared to a decade ago

I went to both within 6 months ago, food is quite good. Not the best lah, but still better than many others. Quite a pity huh these restaurants are not able to maintain the quality...

Is Yap Yin = Ye Ren (叶仁) in Mandarin? The one selling Bak Kut Teh too?

Pan Mee is usually non halal. They use self made flat noodles, ikan bilis, and pork mostly.

@putraskyline,

Pan Mee is another name given to the Handmade flour noodle where in Southern M'sia & Northern Malaysia they are called Mee Hoon Kueh (Kueh Beehoon)

In China & Japan, they are called "Ramen" because they pull, twist & turn the flour into noodle in front of you. M'sian chinese found easier way by using the roller & tear the flour cake or using the same noodle machine to make into noodle..

@Vkeong...ur Yap Beng Bah Kut Teh opposite Jusco Equine park not listed? - I think it should be mentioned as the taste as good as Yap Chuan in Bt 14 Puchong

LOL how can I forget Yap Beng! I added it in the list smile.gif

how about lunch hour "tom yam" only available on tuesday, thursday, and saturday?

the stall is located in a house. they are selling fish head meehoon. near the factory there. when u can locate the public bank, go further a bit turn right (opposite of tyre shop if not mistaken) u will reach housing area.

beside public bank then beside the old folks home, got a "siew lap" (roasted) chicken, duck, char siew, and siew york rice quite good. have soup can be ordered (old "timun" soup, "western vege" soup..... coconut soup)
*
Hey I know that Tomyam stall.. but I never try yet. For the siew lap stall, I believe it's Weng Heong. Got assam fish also right? Gosh their roast duck and char siew is damn goooooooooood

aiseh, i just tried the Yap Yin Bak Kut Teh yesterday for lunch.. uwekk, not very nice. it's sweet and peppery.. doesn't suit me. I like herbal taste one more.

but i will return to try their chinese dishes like those steamed haruan and lala soup nonetheless.
