I like to ask a sega game that I forgot the name which I play when I am still young.
1. It is a platform game like mario & sonic. (only left/right, cannot up & down)
2. At the beginning, we can choose warrior either sage(or magician?)
3. Can go inside shop to buy thing. The shop inside the tree.
4. then the second stage will go inside the forest.

Thats all I remember.
Anybody know the name pls tell me, thanks in advanced

i also want to ask and sorry to tumpang your thread bro. do u guys remember a game, i believe it was on NES because i played it on Micro Genius long time ago. It is somewhat set in a futuristic setting. The hero wear armor and weapon is a gun. But the gun is special in which there are 3 slots in it. You can either combine alpha, beta & gamma pickup item. Combining all pickup will boost and change your weapon type. I am trying to figure out what is the title. Somebody here can help me out? Thanks

em yeah, it is abit like contra bro, but not sure if the hero can fly/float mybe he can, but i forgot already. The intro is like he is some space cop then went to a planet to do fight evil/corruption on that planet

@ ravemaster: Is it Gunstar Heroes for the Genesis(altho' you said Micro Genius, I thought I'd give it a shot)? The Jump button acts as a melee attack(if double tapped), and near the last stage of the game, you play a board-game like map and roll dices to move. Quite fancy graphics for its time.

TS: Sound like Cadash. But i don't remember Megadrive got a version...maybe i dunno.

You can download a MAME32 emulator and play Cadash.

The first boss is an octopus, which after you kill to rescue the maiden she turn into a mermaid and jumps into the water.

If this fit the description, definitely Cadash.

it's not digdug and is not cadash

abit modern but not futuristic

all i recall are rats as big as dogs, 2d platformer (duh) ,main character, Cross(power up) and hero go flashing.. , plant bomb(more like drop a bomb on the platform and wait for it to boom)

there once a jap games that i play..
where chibi hero's GF been kipnapped by a evil guy...

but what cool is a hero can turn into frog, bird, and elephant.. kinda sort of ninja...
and also he can shoot super power boomerang,

dunno what that names seem it on japan word..


oh yeah.. one thing..
why every games on NES the hero must be blue N red colour..?

Limited colour laugh.gif Easy to distinguish from other sprites.

As Miyamoto explained Mario's creation, it was all due to limitation, hence, big nose, mustache, and the trade-mark over-alls he wears. All this was due to limitation laugh.gif

I wonder how Mario would look if Miyamoto wasn't constrained by hardware hmm.gif

And this is in regards to NES only, Genesis had way more power.

Can't be Golden Axe coz the game cannot buy stuff. It's called Wonder Boy 2 & 3: monster world or something like that. NES version was called Goku(something in japanese, The Monkey God)

To ravemaster:
The game you're refering to is called Shatterhand(in the US) the one you played is in japanese.. the name in japanese I forgot.. it's something in japanese then "super rescue". The US version they remove the robot character you control & replace it with a jacket wearing dude.. also 1 level was replace with a different level.

made further search and in fact i was playing the Japan version of it titled Tokkyuu Shirei Soul Brain. Difference between the Japan and US version is that the character in Japan version use robotic suit. thanks again redfield smile.gif

Cool screenshot... that was one of my favourite NES/Famicom game.

Another weird game in japanese I used to borrow/play, I don't know the title(in japanese) but you control a guy with long hair. You use the long hair(red color I think) as weapon to attack... very weird. Appreciate it if someone can let me know what's the name of the game.

Not too sure bout the game title, but i will try guessing. Is it called Blade of Vengeance? You can pick a female warrior, a barbarian and a wizard. Platform game. About the shop, it is available at the end of each boss battles (i guess). Below is the screenshot for you to help you remember smile.gif

used to play that game too! but i never got past one of the boss level (the one with samurai sword).

remembered that if you get a certain slots correct, there will be something hovering above the main character.

do they have this game in PSP?

nway, just wanna share, last time when play dragon ball, I need TWO catridge. wtf. dunno what it called but the other catridge look normal just have to put together. the DB catridge put on top of it >.<

1. It's a platform game where you are always on a skateboard and hitting enemies by throwing your baseball cap at them.

2. An action game like Contra (but not as fast pace) where you start in the jungle, and you need to save the people by flipping doors by pressing up button.

#1 I not sure, my wild guess would be it's some variant/hack of Adventure Island.
#2, I had that game on a multicart. I think the cart lists it as "Famine Weapon" or something like that. It's a Japanese game.

I need to recall where I put all my multicarts...

hmm...does anyone here remember a game where ur character control consists of different heroes, i.e., kamen rider, gundams, and ultramans, ala chibi versions...and its a side scrolling 2d game...n if not mistaken it shd be on nes or snes system...i still remember one of the power dat the kamen rider has is his light saber, where he does a hacking action n d there's like sort of those laser beams coming out...its all in chibi versions....
changing of characters if not mistaken is achieved via power up blocks along the way...

hmm...does anyone here remember a game where ur character control  consists of different heroes, i.e., kamen rider, gundams, and ultramans, ala chibi versions...and its a side scrolling 2d game...n if not mistaken it shd be on nes or snes system...i still remember one of the power dat the kamen rider has is his light saber, where he does a hacking action n d there's like sort of those laser beams coming out...its all in chibi versions....
changing of characters if not mistaken is achieved via power up blocks along the way...

Here's another FC game I'm looking for:

Your character is sort of like samurai/ninja hybrid, looks like Zenki. It's an action game and your main weapon is a giant yoyo (as big as the character's torso). Picture is very pinkish/orange/red.
