I like to ask a sega game that I forgot the name which I play when I am still young.
1. It is a platform game like mario & sonic. (only left/right, cannot up & down)
2. At the beginning, we can choose warrior either sage(or magician?)
3. Can go inside shop to buy thing. The shop inside the tree.
4. then the second stage will go inside the forest.

Thats all I remember.
Anybody know the name pls tell me, thanks in advanced

i also want to ask and sorry to tumpang your thread bro. do u guys remember a game, i believe it was on NES because i played it on Micro Genius long time ago. It is somewhat set in a futuristic setting. The hero wear armor and weapon is a gun. But the gun is special in which there are 3 slots in it. You can either combine alpha, beta & gamma pickup item. Combining all pickup will boost and change your weapon type. I am trying to figure out what is the title. Somebody here can help me out? Thanks

em yeah, it is abit like contra bro, but not sure if the hero can fly/float mybe he can, but i forgot already. The intro is like he is some space cop then went to a planet to do fight evil/corruption on that planet

@ ravemaster: Is it Gunstar Heroes for the Genesis(altho' you said Micro Genius, I thought I'd give it a shot)? The Jump button acts as a melee attack(if double tapped), and near the last stage of the game, you play a board-game like map and roll dices to move. Quite fancy graphics for its time.

It also sounds(in reverse of characters) like Mappy! One of my fav. games last time.

TS: Sound like Cadash. But i don't remember Megadrive got a version...maybe i dunno.

You can download a MAME32 emulator and play Cadash.

The first boss is an octopus, which after you kill to rescue the maiden she turn into a mermaid and jumps into the water.

If this fit the description, definitely Cadash.

abit modern but not futuristic

all i recall are rats as big as dogs, 2d platformer (duh) ,main character, Cross(power up) and hero go flashing.. , plant bomb(more like drop a bomb on the platform and wait for it to boom)

where chibi hero's GF been kipnapped by a evil guy...

but what cool is a hero can turn into frog, bird, and elephant.. kinda sort of ninja...

why every games on NES the hero must be blue N red colour..?

Can't be Golden Axe coz the game cannot buy stuff. It's called Wonder Boy 2 & 3: monster world or something like that. NES version was called Goku(something in japanese, The Monkey God)

The game you're refering to is called Shatterhand(in the US) the one you played is in japanese.. the name in japanese I forgot.. it's something in japanese then "super rescue". The US version they remove the robot character you control & replace it with a jacket wearing dude.. also 1 level was replace with a different level.

made further search and in fact i was playing the Japan version of it titled Tokkyuu Shirei Soul Brain. Difference between the Japan and US version is that the character in Japan version use robotic suit. thanks again redfield
