Apply Clobetasol ointment on the affected area as frequent as possible to relief the intching. In severe cases you'll need antihistaminics.

It might not be eczema, it's very hard to distinguish eczema from a fungal or viral infection or just some simple allergies.

I thought I had herpetic whitlow on my fingers and I tried acyclovir cream for 6 months and t's not working, then I went to a skin doctor and found out it's just eczema and gave me the antihistaminic medication and I'm now eczema free biggrin.gif

But anyway, it's best to go to a skin doctor. General hospitals have really good doctors and I think she should give it a try.
