Hey previously over the years i suffer from eczema too...
There are few things i do notice after years of having eczema..
1) it itches whenever we sweat, so don't scratch it! ( try to wash it off with clean water and etc..)
2) we tend to scratch the spot with eczema subconciously! YES, like when im sleeping i tend to scratch the spot, and so i always wake up with blood all over my shirt.. shakehead.gif Well, i tried alot of ways to prevent myself from scratching myself, including tieing up both of my hands to the bed.. But it didn't turn out great.. laugh.gif
3) I tried alot of medicines and went through alot of treatments including chinese way western way and etc, juz to find that all of that barely worked.. Some even made my condition worse..

Surprisingly, my eczema healed on it's own when im off to 3 months NS training.. laugh.gif
Eczema-ers just be sure to keep the spot dry and clean at all times, and don't friggin scratch it cuz it'll make the condition even worse! Normally when u scratch till it bleeds, the wound will get bigger and bigger as you'll scratch it more than ever!~ nod.gif It'll eventually turn out to be ok in a few weeks i guess.. Hard to tell cuz i ain't no skin specialist or doctor.. Juz sharing my past experience.. nod.gif

TS, my advice to your friend should to go see doctor as earlier as possible if you have try any cream from the pharmacy but it's not working. please put down all the egos.. you don't want to stuck with eczema for a long long time.. as I have experience with eczema for 7 years!! yes, 7 years.. it's a long time.. i have used a lot of money and time.. I have used 4 years to cure my eczema.. Initially, my condition wasn't that bad, only my left hand had a small pot of eczema.. so i went to pharmacy and bought some brand of cream for eczema. after applied it, it gets better but after some time, it got worse until both hands got affected. I had used different types of creams for eczema from pharmacy, but they are useless.. so ended up, i went to a skin specialist... and went through all the treatment for this eczema..
The doctor told me, if you have apply any cream for the eczema for sometime and it's not working.. don't continue apply it, as it might not suitable..
Lastly, start the treatment when it isn't that serious... otherwise you will cry if your eczema gets worse coz those treatment are nightmare..
