I've been reading up guides on this and I've pretty much gotten confused with all the stuff that's been said in the guides, so I guess I'm looking at guides too technical for me. 

First proper question: The guides say I need to set up a separate partition for Vista.  I already have three partitions on a 320GB drive, do I still need a separate Vista partition or can I just use an existing partition (C:, D:, E:)?

Will ask more questions as I get to understanding them.  One step at a time.

So, no problem that I put it on existing partition?  C: is my Windows XP + Programs, D: and E: are misc. files, really.

All the guides I see say that I need to create a new partition solely for Vista, which is why I'm asking.

Added on October 13, 2008, 10:41 amOkay.  Let's say I install Vista in Drive: E, would the install reformat the partition?  Wanna know if I need to backup my stuff there.

Also, if I install and something goes wrong, how do I get rid of it?
