blink.gif That is big! This fellas must shed a lot. And eat a lot. Fit to be called a lion.

In China, pure breed also not much left...they are trying to rescue this breed too...

Only pure breed could be such big size.... There is one guy in Penang starting to breed this breed, selling price is RM8,888/-. But his puppies are black and tan colour type only. Red one looks more like a lion...and white colour looks so sweet...

These pictures are NOT PURE Tibetan Mastiff breed, they are mixed with Hound bloodline. Pure Tibetan Mastiff muzzle should not be droppy.

Can you share the TM Breeder in Penang ? I am from BM Penang... I love this breed maybe I can pay him a visit ( RM8888 is very cheap for a pure TM) ... I had join TM Forum for year and study about this breed and my conclusion is there are a lot of tibetan Mix out there and  tibetan Dog ( some look like a golden retriever / Rott) . If there are breeder in penang then we can see the sire & dam to judge... that is a good news for the buyer.

a TM can kill 3 wolves at a time. a good guard dog  biggrin.gif

According to China forum, that is not real true story, just a myth. Probably that was a myth created by the farmer. Another possibility that the farmer was so poor that never fed the TM for quite some time during winter, until the dog had to hunt for its own food. So happen that the wolves came, he had to put up a fight over the food.

is this a TM dog??i dun really know how to see that..just compare the girl normal size and the dog..

sry..blur photo..

LOL...that is St. Bernald...not TM. I think Pyrenese Mountain Dog, St. Bernald and TM about the same size. St. Bernald is super friendly dog...and TM is not. TM is a good guard dog.

all the big breeds or those thick fur dogs are meant to live in the northern or southern hemisphere.. not here in Malaysia (unless u provide at least 12 hours aircon), the quality of the dog hair will only deteriorates as they shed alot to fight off the heat.....

for example, u will never get the same quality of husky in Malaysia compare to US. Even tho u fully import US line dog, but they grow up not up to the standard wan...

But its all depend on how the owner keep the dog...if they willing to spend thousands in the month for their dog supplies..it will at least maintain the quality...but not everyone afford that...

Ya...fully agreed with that statement.

I like those Giant breed with tick fur type, but I know I can't afford to keep them at tip-top condition, so no point keeping them. Firstly... over here in Malaysia we don't have suitable weather for them, secondly... the giant breed do not have the freedom to run and exercise freely in a spacious compound.
