Hey, I started this topic hoping it would help others to solve their wind-wind questions about the cost of printing.

Below would be on the calculation of an average basic printing I had done.

PRINTER
HP Printer F4185=RM250* (Last Year's Price )
Free Introductory Cartridge;HP 21(Black) HP22(Colour)=RM FREE

Refill ink;
HP21(Black)=RM15*
HP22(Colour)=RM19*

Original Cartridge (Optional**)
HP21(Black)=RM43.00*
HP22(Colour)=RM49.00*

*Please note that these are the prices I get last year from East M'sia (the cheapest I could get)
Also take note that the refill kits' prices varies according to brand and the genuinity. Mine is the normal quality ink type + non-genuine, so I'm not sure about the prices of those refill kits which offer good quality ink and its genuinity.

**You are highly-recommended to get these cartridges in case your print head/previous cartridge are spoiled.

HP21
Each refill for HP21 would be about 4ml. The refill kit has two 15ml syringe. That means you can refill your cartridge up to 7 times. So far I had done so and the print head is still in good condition. Each refill can print up to 20pages

7 X 20=140 pages***

HP22
Each refill for HP22 would be about 1ml++(this is because the refill kit has 3 syringe which contains 10ml per colour) That means you can refill your cartridge up to 30 times. So far I had only done once. I will post the life span for the print head once I have reached it. Each refill can print up to 10pages(fully coloured pasport-size picture in microsoft word)

30 X 10=300 pages***

These are my results after using my first refill kit for both cartridges. I hope that this would help those especially college students to solve their problem regarding getting a printer. I also hope someone could post on an average printing cost using other cartridges brand/CISS.
