I have a question. Why it's a common situation in Malaysia that prices of stuffs get goreng up pretty easily? Not just collectibles but many stuff.
Is it because Malaysia market not mature yet, not enough supplier to cater buyers? Buyers have no buying power at all? The most easily seen are spawn figures, though i'm not a spawn collector, it's always common few figures from a brand new series can get goreng up to twice or three times the price before they arrive. Not sure if this is happening in other countries though.
Since there are so many collectors over here maybe we can come up with something better?
Eating too much Goreng stuff is not healthy for the body.
Haha the main cause usually because of the RM value instability. Like now, RM value is weaker that what it was about 1-2 month ago, so the shop have to increase prices to avoid loss.
But for some items, it is really limited, and requires lot of effort to acquire them (which usually translates into higher cost for getting them), thus price increase is unavoidable.
Oh not to mention shipping cost and taxes too
