fairlagy is my choice lar.. more cun.. can drive longer without getting bored so fast. of coz GTR also nice, but afraid drive 2 months and get bored d.

the 350Z & 350GT shares almost everything.. engine, platform, etc.. but i suggest TS to get a 350Z.. the VQ35DE engine is slightly more powerful than in the skyline, it is also weighs 100kg less..

IMO laa.. i dont care if TS is only 17 or wat.. if the dad wants to get him that so be it not your money wat.. its up to them not any of us here.. TS was merely asking for a suggestion..

thats depends on you as you are the one who is getting the car , test drive both of them and make a comparison , and heck , choose for yourself , we only can comment bout overall , final desicision is still on yourself , so 350z and gt you decide it

and since your dad is getting it -.- why not choose both LOL well you have slk at home , why not add in another gt or z ? instead of choosing either

I personally like 350Z more than than 350GT because the shape of the car more aerodynamically designed and the nice curve of the sweeping lines from the roof top to the back bumper. Plus, 350Z is much more good looking that the 350GT interms of exterior styling from factory.

If you are concerned on performance of the car and the drivability of the car, likes the adrenaline rushing through your blood while taking corners, take the 350Z as it is meant to be used as mid-performance car. Occasional track-days are what 350Z needs.

If you not really into performance but like to show off to girls at the clubs that you have a fancy and good looking car, take the 350Z. But, before going to the club with the car, please get the car kitted with Vielside bodykit and wheels just to make sure the girls will fall for it. Stock looking cars are just nothing. Invest money on the exterior styling is enough. Like people say, look fast, but no go. 350Z is the choice.

If you have a wife and kids, and like the slow pace (not into high speed freaks) take the 350GT. More than enough. It has 4 seats which can seat comfortably.

Fairlady = 2 seater
Skyline = 2+2 seater

well, jeremy clarkson isn't always right.. he doesn't like the 350z but the other guy likes it alot.. different ppl has different opinions.. u can't just take 1 guy's opinion and NOT buy the Z..

also cheap interior is probably the older models.. newer ones is fine.. but don't expect luxury interior like the BMW or merc with leather everywhere.. for the price of the Z, u pay for the 3.5L V6 engine, handling and etc.. NOT for the comfort and luxury


TS, the guys are right.. u're young.. only 17.. the Z is a rear wheel car with 280bhp.. make sure u have enough practice & experience before driving the Z.. or maybe u could be like me! hahaha.. drive the Z around with the speedcut so that u get used to the car first.. it's easy to go more than 200kmph with the Z and u can't feel it! >.<

btw, the skyline G35 could be VERY nice too if u lower the car, get a bodykit and some nice rims

350GT is NA Skyline, with almost same engine with 350Z. But as what reviewed in Motoring the handling of 350GT was better than 350Z..

For TS i recommend you to take 350GT...summore got 4 seats, if any needs arise later..feel iut looks cool rather than 350Z..

Since you can afford to buy the car, just ask the salesperson to let you test drive both.

One you already tried both, then buy the one you like or suits you most.

This is what the rich people who can afford to buy the car do.
Applicable for Ferraris, Porches, & other exotic cars as well.

If you can't do this simple thing, then you are not rich & just bullshiting.
End of story.

prolly the TS has taken the effort to test drive and stil undecided to choose either 1...hence seeking guru advice from those who has some decent experience knowing/researching on cars...

nevertheless, my humble vote would go to a 350gt simple because it a great looker and pleasing to my eyes...

Not in this case. Do note it's a Skyline 350GT. It's not an R34, its a V35. And the Z33 is a bit more powerful than the V35.

Both V35 and Z33 shares the same VQ35DE engine. The VQ in the Fairlady produces 287hp (300hp for models after 2006) and the V35 produces about 272hp.

the best part is both of his signature is about gtr lol and with picture of the car and the engine lol

get yourself a bimmer 6...

if u can afford a price of a 350z or 350gt, better if u get a r34 or r33. u can get it from those with ap. its thousands time better in which eva way u look at it. juz my opinion. u got more money? go for r35. talk less, think less, juz get it since u r that rich.

That sentence written in bold is not a good advice to someone who are planning to buy a car. A good sales man can "Chat" till his customer buys a car. I myself once nearly got into a deal to buy a Picanto due to the sweet talk and very very knowledgeable sales man in hiding the weakness of the car till i read in this forum where real owner gives good advice.

Just my 2cents worth of past experience that i want to share with forumers...don't always trust 100% what words comes out from a Sales Assistant/Manager/Person moth. filter it and get advice from forum/people reviews first before jump into buying.

Please DO NOT mix up the Skyline 350GT with the R32/R33/R34 Skylines or Nissan GT-R. They ARE NOT THE SAME!!!


Personally, I'll choose the Skyline 350GT. It's bigger, bulkier and heavier, sure, but since you (or rather your dad) has the money to splurge, why not go for something less common? 350Z are so common nowadays it's irritating. The Nissan Skyline 350GT is so much more exclusive (I've only seen two in Malaysia before).

Yes, the 350Z has better handling and better acceleration, so? How often are you going to use those?

On the other hand, the 350GT offers more luxury and practicality, being a 2 + 2 seater. It has almost as much power, with an extra 100 kg of weight which won't make a real difference when you're cruising along or speeding on the highway anyway. Yes, fuel consumption is slightly more, but I'm sure you aren't bothered by that.

Trust us about the power, though. It has nearly one and a half times more power than the SLK 230 Kompressor.

I'm staying in seremban, now a day i saw 350z on the road everywhere in seremban, very common already. But 350gt with blue color only got one in seremban that driven by a fat lady staying near my house. Haha, now a day 350z passby i even don't take a look at it but 350gt i'll, coz very rare.

Those 350z & 350gt now are outdated, coz with 5 +/- auto compared to the new one 370z & g37 with 7 +/- auto.

so u r saying Skyline 350GT is not better than 350Z(Fairlady) because is rare in Seremban?
