Hi Guys

I have read numerous time in Garage Sales which some seller are Selling used iPhone 3g as brand new.

I would like to share this link which i use all the time for my purchases in sg.

All sets are Activated when you purchase at Singtel.

They will slide in a sim card of your choice (i passed him DIGI heheh) and they will activate thru Itune.

There after your clock @ apple Starts Ticking.

i have attached the picture of my purchase.

Here you can find out which country it is from

That's true... I got my Singapore set sealed... The seller told me that my set is sealed because it comes from corporates subscriber... Something like that...

Hey, you TS... Your iPhone just 1 day older than mine... rclxms.gif

So this applies to Singapore set only?

For activating through itune for the first time, Do we need the carrier lock sim card to do it? or any sim will do?

If you just keyin the Serial Number for your Iphone, no matter which country you choose, It'll still show you the warranty status. To confirm you have the warranty coverage & repair service in that country, you will need to click on NEXT button.

For example: My Iphone show under warranty till 12 September which is in Malaysia country drool.gif , but after you click the next button. The result will be no service available at the selected country. Please refer to the following screenshot

Hi Chinamobile,

Got the iPhone 3G 16GB White from you @ Low Yat Plaza everything checks out (IMEI and Serial numbers).

Date is slightly off, purchased on 29/07/2008 in SG but warranty until 24/09/2009. Not that I really care but just to let you know.

Should I need to get the phone fixed, do I need the original sim card? What happens if Hello! customer care asks for it?

Thanks.

PS : Upgraded to 2.1 firmware and works much better with iTune8 compared to the previous 2.0 version

May the force be with you.

NO Receipt No Claims.(u got to get it reprinted before you go claim)

recently learn this lesson first hand.

But if you got receipt, the warranty claim is hassle free. And they change to a brand new seal set
