I think recording video of neighbour noise inside your own unit is NOT a good proof compare to they admitting it face by face.
Remember to upload it to YouTube and keep few copies in your cloud drive.

I am not first timer stay in high-rise. At least 2 uni hostel, 4 appartment / condo i stay before this, but this is the first unit I owned, maybe my renovation offended them. But I been accepting their *dinosaur walk* , *dragging chair*, *hulk run* and *steel ball dropping* for 2 years, enough is enough!

Polite talk is not permanent if the person have bad nature, they might silent for a period but end up they will forgotten one day. Also you are deal with 1 family and not all family members will care your complaint.

some of the noises you hear are proven not caused by human.

like the ball dropping sound, its actually water pipping.

chair dragging - also not caused by actual ppl dragging chairs and I believe what one forumer here said, sound travels. It might not be from your direct unit above.

I also hear sound like this on all apartments I stayed. cant be every tenant above me love to drop rolling steal ball, dragging chairs and etc.

my neighbour is a technician, so he always hammer thing during day or night, what I do is just to wearing a headset and listen mp3.

or open my TV louder, so it can cover up the noise.

a friendly chat with your neighbour wont cause any harm.

Haiz, these days neigbours don't or don't want to talk to neigbours anymore.
