I bought a new 3g iphone, i insert my maxis 3g sim card, i can make and receive call, and receive sms, but i cant send sms. Then i insert my friend old maxis sim card, it works and can send sms. I already call Maxis, they said its not possible to downgrade my sim card. I had tried using +60 or 60, it still fail. I had enable EDGE/GPRS/WAP service from Maxis
Anyone face this problem before? Please share with me. Thanks.

Did u use the same sim card in other phone and try sending sms? Maybe the sms centre number is missing. There's a way to set it but i need to dig my brain again (sudah lupa la).
Added on October 9, 2008, 1:39 pmHere it is:
*5005*7672*+60120000015#
Key that in the dialpad.

I can use the existing sim card on the Nokia N73 to send sms. And there's no sms centre setting in the 3g iphone, the sms setting is set in the sim card. What is this number about? *5005*7672*+60120000015#

QUOTE(paulchen @ Oct 10 2008, 11:54 AM) I can use the existing sim card on the Nokia N73 to send sms. And there's no sms centre setting in the 3g iphone, the sms setting is set in the sim card. What is this number about? *5005*7672*+60120000015# Some phones can automatically configure the sms center from the sim and some phone can't. That number is to key in the sms center number in your iphone. You seek for help and we provide you with the solutions. If you feel doubt because the numbers look weird then it's your call.
