We present you with VLC media player 0.9.4, the latest increment of
our 0.9 series. This release brings Windows users all the 0.9.3
enhancements and fixes (please see our call for Windows developers
below) as well as fixing a few more bugs for the other platforms.

== 0.9.4 improvements ==
Various bugfixes:
* Crashes fixed in ogg, vobsub, dvdread
* Fixes several memory leaks.
Mac OS X port:
* Apple machines without Quartz Extreme are no longer supported (use
0.9.2 or earlier )
* Fixed a crash with deletion of old preferences.
* Fixed targetname for downloaded updates

Windows port:
* Stability fix for the video output.

VLC media player versions 0.9.8 and older suffer from a critical buffer overflow vulnerabilities. Refer to our advisory for technical details. Fixes for this issue is available in VLC 0.9.8a. We strongly recommend all users to update to this new version.

Windows and Mac OS builds are coming at a later date.

Im having a problem with vlc, it works fine before but suddenly it seems i cant play any file types. theres only black screen with sound, yes the sound is there but no picture. Any idea ?

have you tried it dude? 0.9.8a is kinda problematic sometimes halfway through a movie will stall and auto shut

The new vlc can switch the volume till 200%. You feel any difference from last time when it can only reach 97?
