Nice!!!
Are you planning to participate in next year's Ironman???
I'm planning to make Ironman 2010 my first Ironman.

I heard that it might not be held at Langkawi anymore because of the Pakatan Coalition ruling. How true is that?

Hey guys! How you all doing?
I read some posts and understand that there are group running sessions at Lake Garden???
If so, what's the schedule for the week? I'm doing my industrial training and get off work at 5:45 pm and can arrive at Lake Gardens around 6:30 pm.
Otherwise I just run at Fitness First IOI Mall. I'm currently training for the Standard Char Half Marathon.
On the weekends I run around my neighborhood at Setiawangsa for 5-10 km but it's soooooo boring to run alone.
I'm bored having cars, motorcycles and sometimes barking dogs as my running partners.....I need some motivation smile.gif

This is a question to all you guys doing runs of 20km+/day.....

What's your diet like? You take in lots of carbs?
What's your estimated daily calorie intake?

I would like to join this Saturday LSD for the first time.....at Lake Gardens right?

Is there a session around 630am? Because there's the Subuh prayers that I must attend to first. As I am new, I hope someone can accompany me. I don't even know where to park. haha

No prob.  I still offer 40% discount to runners in this forum.  Special mah!!!

Wow!!! 40% discount!!! That's awesome.

I'll do a wet feet test tonight and post the pics. Then, can you recommend a shoe for me please?

Pointers that should help you out in choosing the right shoe for me :
- I run 5 times a week. (Each run at least 5 km with an average pace of 11 km/hr).
- I tend to land on my heel, and it kinda slides gracefully to the whole area of the foot. (Not like 'thump' on my heel...No)
- I'm training for the SCKLIM.
- I'm 61 -65 kg. (Ikut musim haha)
- Oh yeah....I'm size 10.5 US. My feet is wide. If it wasn't, I think I can fit a 10 US.

Hope with these pointers, you can roughly recommend the right shoes for me. Thanks.

P.S I'll post the pics tonight to show you the arch.

Good luck to all you guys/gals with your runs this Sunday!!!

All you must feel the adrenaline rush now huh sweat.gif
I'm not participating and even I feel the rush.....for my sister that is.
Yeah, I was late for the registration so I missed it. My sis will be running the 21 km and I just decided to run along with her w/o a bib.
Do you guys think the organizers will allow that? A non-registered runner in the run? hmm.gif

I used my own vest because that vest is TOO tight!

I requested to change my vest after the run but they only have XL for male, S for female... SIGH...

Bought a new pair of Saucony Jazz 12 from CCube today at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa to replace my Nike+ Pegasus 2007.

Went home around 430pm and straight away went for a test run at Setiawangsa. Ran about 6 km and all I can say is that the shoe feels great. Great cushioning. Great fit. Reduces impact on my knees a little bit. Looks good too.

Thanks CCube. Will prob buy Saucony Fastswitch from you later.

Highly recommended seller. smile.gif

want to aim below 1hr by end of this year.. possible?
i ran with jazz 12.. knee couldn't take the impact and was hurting towards the end.
what's the problem actually? not enough training kah?

How do you run?
I also experienced the same kinda pain on my knees. But then I turned to POSE method which utilizes the fact that you should land on the balls of your feet. I've been experimenting with the technique for more than 2 weeks now and I can say that it improves my running substantially. You will experience some tightness on your calf though for a few days but after that it will go away.

I can go further and faster by using this technique. I am using the same shoe since yesterday and the shoe feels great.

Added on July 7, 2009, 5:00 pmI need some adivice from all the runnerz here.

I don't feel comfortable wearing shorts anymore while running.

Are there any good below knee length running pants? Tights?
I heard from a guy running at a track once that it's not advisable to run wearing tights? Is that true?

If you guys know any, can you recommend a brand and the price range. I need to find one ASAP. Thanks all.
