Well, when the weather is as cold as less than 5 degrees, it will be.

biggrin.gif

But still I want to run. The wind and air is very cold. Breathing pun susah, no joke. I'm not complaining but its just tough. Will test this jacket out next week as I don't have time to run this week. Going to Paris this Friday night =)

eesshh..lucky -nya..i nvr ran anywhere cold before sad.gif

Harlo everybody!!

I went for the usual beginner's run and finally had the chance to meet sifus; phoenix and ccube laugh.gif
No chasing the pack today as it seems the pack split into two; shorter and longer route..i went for the longer route and managed to catch a glimpse of 2 ppl running but nt sure frm the group or nt..nonetheless...had a great run!! rclxms.gif

the highlight of the day was recieving me shoes frm ccube!! first impression..put me feet into the shoes... hmm.gif real comfy but like kinda hard..den phoenix say..try walking..and WOW tongue.gif i felt the cushion..real soft..i tink i nw i realize the importance of a good shoe..my current 1 was real hard..minimal cushioning i guess sad.gif n 2 tink i hv edi ran at least more nearly 100km+ in dem
(it was a shoe for basketball according to phoenix blush.gif no choice..other shoe gum gone edi...simply wear one first)

with me new shoes..leg oso gatal so off i went...3 big circles round jz the lake...absolutely comfortable!! hence the progrid jazz 12 is great!!
thanks for the recomendation sifus notworthy.gif rclxms.gif

i will nw see hw i fare in tomolos Terry Fox run thumbup.gif

till then..ciao my frens

walloped 2 cups of Milo, 2 packs of curry puffs and then headed home.

Wow. My year end holidays is starting next week.  I'm going to run everyday. But I run in MPSJ only. The stadium only. I usually run around 15-18 rounds. So Its arond 6-7km only.

Btw. I'm a girl .  laugh.gif  16 years old only nod.gif  nod.gif  Thats why I dont dare to run anywhere else besides the MPSJ stadium. Later I kena "culik"  tongue.gif

I usually run at MPSJ around 7a.m. And my second run at 5p.m . I go around5p.m or sometimes earlier to avoid congestion at the running track. So usually I finish my run before 6p.m . When people start running I sudah habis  wink.gif  wink.gif

Devil, wah Saucony so saileh arhhh !!!!  didnt know a new pair of Saucony can bring your time down and motivate you to run faster.  I hope it will have the magic on everyone that wears a Saucony, hehehehe!!!!  anyway glad to hear you are improving even w/o pushing yourself hard.  try pushing urself in another session and see how it goes.  that will give you some benchmark.
*

d3vilzzzz: Of course you can run faster and better with it cause you are comparing a running shoe with a basketball shoe.
How to prevent blister, either a good pair of sweat resistant socks like Injinji or you tape up your hot spot areas with tapes like the 3M Micropore.
*
hehe..
i gt the dri fit sock as per ur recomendation..but i guess mebbe for competitions me wud get the Injinji hmm.gif
but wat abt if me leg hv blister n still 1 2 run?

There should be some product to be applied to avoid blister or reduce the blister effect, but i forgot wat's the name oredi. Just looks like a stick.

Last time i got blister but just continue run, dun bother, the blister gone itself. I find combo of injinji + other dry fit sock is nice. Inner Injinji, outer i wear NB fit sock, very nice to run. No blister at all after i finish 20k run.
*
wow shocking.gif 2 layers of socks!! ermm..comfy to run? wun b bulky? i haven rch 20k yet blush.gif haha
Injinji lotsa good reviews..i do suppose when i train like for long run must try nod.gif but at the moment stick to dri fits

so me current condition..i put plaster oni and try la tongue.gif

d3vilzzzz: Put a plaster on the blistered area, then maybe a cotton or gauze on it plasters with 3M Micropore. This will help cushion the wound from further chaffing. This is what I did with my Achilles recently. The product toto4d mention, one of them is call Body Glide. It's petroleum free!
*
yes yes nod.gif definitely doing so..3M Micropore? hmm.gif well go see guardian...

Body Glide? i tink must go shopping at guardian edi laugh.gif

thanks for advice

when in a marathon there are times that u see runners bleeding from the nipples.  their vest are stain with blood esp those wearing white.  this is caused by the friction irregardless if its a new or old vest.  but this does not happen to everyone, its a very individual thingy !!!  similar to armpits, groins, any area withing your body that have a possibilty of rubbing against each other and causes friction will generate such problems.
*
aaahhh..k k ...lucky u say individual thing..haihz..
but for these..baby oil, vaseline..shud do the trick

Depends oso, some people, even put vaseline is not effective. For nipple you might need to tape it. For pants, try to search for dry fit material. The more you sweat, the more chances you will get chaffing. I read somewhere, you need to shave up. It'll also helps. Well thats my 2 cent la. based on my own experience..
*
hmm..but i dun i tink me nipples hv prb..i hope...the shirts stick to me..u knw..when u sweat? laugh.gif so no chaffing there..

diff for me anal though..well nt exactly anal but..that region tongue.gif blush.gif

devil,  the problem may not surface over a short distance of 5k - 10k,  just be cautious when you are doing 10k and above. when i run 20k and above i will apply vaseline to my nipples, armpits, groins and any area that can create friction and cause chaffing.  if not when you take your shower and the water hits the wound caused by the chafing, you can sing a song with your loudest pitch !!!! rclxms.gif  icon_question.gif
*
wow?! these are the parts of running i nvr knew abt shocking.gif
i haven pass 10k yet for me runs..soon soon..i'll report bk when i hv passed da 10k mark...

i guess once pass the 10k mark..must go guardian, watson shoppping edi laugh.gif
