Dear all runners,

Wish to join you all for some saturday training run.... need to prepare for KLIM June 28.. My last marathon was Std Chrt SG 2008 marathon
i usually train on my office threadmill after work.. kind of lost motivation..... do u you run every Saturday 6 AM?

Can i join you all for some training run?

smile.gif
*
Why not? tongue.gif if you can be at LG at 0545 or 0600 you'll definitely see us running..
There be most likely two groups(runnerz circle, pacemakers) but of course as the event's date looms nearer..you'll see more and more ppl preparing..
Take your time in the run..but as ccube said..it should take you 120 minutes

QUOTE(triple02 @ Apr 13 2009, 10:00 AM)
sorry to quote u mate but full mara distance on Saturday? as in every week on a Saturday?  i know he's doing Ultra Mara for Sundown but man training that distance is intense! and the furthest that ive ever train or run was only 25km shudder to think what effects running 42k is gona have   sweat.gif

@Tenno

*
@triple02
i dun tink he does it every week..me thinks jz twice or thrice so far biggrin.gif

@Tenno
me norm no breakfast and only gatorade or something at the refuel point when i run on sat 20km laugh.gif

QUOTE(determinism @ Apr 13 2009, 10:08 PM)
guys, i was talking about trail running, not just trekking,

as go to internet , the recommended by Federation for Sports Altitude is adidas supernova TR5 so i was wondering if any forumer here have experience with this shoes in our forest for running!
*
Buying shoes for a friend? i don't realli recommend it as unless you're pretty sure of your friend's feet type or how he runs
AND shoes are realli subjective, two people of the same feet type for example may not like the same pair of shoes made for their feet type MAYBE because of the way they run..
It is like buying clothes i guess..shoes and clothes..me nvr get them as gifts..

You hv recieved a no. of recomendations edi btw..

I don tink there are many here who run rain forests/ jungles on a regular basis..
For fun, hiking, trekking, training maybe..but nt seriously...

Hey..CONGRATS all who completed the ORANGE RUN
See you guys nxt yr!!

he is a serious trail runner as well as marathon
so as trail running is concern its need proper shoes compare to marathon where power brand shoes is more then enough

when running up and down at malaysian mountain, many consideration has to take into accounts.

there are dry, muddy, wet rock, dry rock, leaves and many more so i was wondering and seek for advice from the experience people here who is a hardcore trial runner or anyone who have information on this matter

im not going to buy for him without his present it just that the $$$ is from my wallet. thats all i can do, i hope its motivate him to run and keep on running.
*
As i said earlier..u hv already recieved a couple of recomendations
and most here are "road" runners nt trail...

if as u said he is a serious trail runner..i m sure he edi knws what sorta shoes he wants..
and..does he run alone? he runs with friends? maybe you can get more info from his friends..

QUOTE(Simple @ Apr 14 2009, 12:00 AM)

*
If you think you can...you can laugh.gif
There are norm 2/3/4 forumers including myself on sats..

If you're there at 545 you'll see frank(seen his photo on his blog?) and his group
I run at 6 with the pacemakers..but we start anywhere frm 0545 to 0600

Don't worry about being last or anything..it is not a race..and besides learn the way there..the way bk is well..backtracking..

Corezone actually gives discounts for the more you purchase unlike most places as price is standard..

oo..btw..there is a pacesetter member who sells them..
he represents pacesetters ..sells them at a lower price regardless of quantity..

hey devilz, may i ask why you have 2 consecutive resting days sun & mon?
*
why not?
but if anytime u feel like changing the schdule..you feel strong on monday...go ahead and run..no harm smile.gif
it's just..i m assuming you are a beginner..maybe u need more rest..
bare in mind as/if you aim for longer distances, you'll hv to run on more days and increase the mileage..with the proposed schdule you can continously add on mileage...

running 4 -5 days a week is a commitment..

-3weekdays -norm mileage training (seriously more then enough if it is a 10k race)
-1weekday -speed training/ recovery run (if you don't want 2 hv 2 many rest days)
-1weekend day -LSD (a definite MUST)

you must understand, resting is part of the training laugh.gif
it also depends on hw serious you are tongue.gif

QUOTE(metalfreak @ Apr 17 2009, 07:13 PM)
Its for recovery from the long slow distance run during the weekend.

1 Day doesnt cut it. 2 days is just nice even though some might not recover in 2 days but it should be good enough for you to run on Tuesday

Afterall, its a Monday. smile.gif Monday bluez
