Well done to all runners who ran Mizuno wave run this morning!!!

I also find the traffic at the beginning of the race is very congested, hope organiser can improve on this, maybe shud start different category at different time

i completed in 45min 44nd (my watch time), position either 68 or 89, din really take a good look at the card as 2 exhausted upon reaching finishing line

i left b4 the prize presentation ceremony, any1 happen to know what's the time of the 1st placing? just curious

Great run today. Did it in 65 mins (was aiming for <60, oh well). Way cooler/scenic compared to klang last week but the hills were killer siot......I got a bit excited and sped in the beginning which resulted in me cursing myself after the 2nd hill or so. Be interesting to see the timing chip results.

Oh, went to klcc after the run, and Brooks@Isetan was at 30% off, so bought me a pair of Brooks Glycerine (lime green). Time to retire my 2 year old Asics GT2110. I started my love for running with this shoe. We had good times together. smile.gif

vin_ann: Never mind. At least you ran the simulation and roughly will know the experience. Glad you came too despite not running.

meatball88: Glad to have met you too. You did great. Now we wait for the official chip timing to be published. I like the medal actually. Unique design although it's very light. Mixture of pewter and stainless steel I guess. By the way, I'm not so youg anymore lar. I got kiddy face only. Inside engine already old wan.

d3vilzzzz: SInce you are there, why don't you just go and greet them. My photo is in my avatar and I'm sure you have read our blogs. Just come and say hi. Nothing to lose.

tschin1981: First place is the French guy. Super fast wan. I myself will be intersed in knowing his timing. By the way, I don't think the Pacesetters chip system can accomodate staggered start. That esplains that we all start the same time. Sad but true. I was in the middle pack with ccube and some other friends.

thechallenger: You felt dizzy most likely because your glycogen level is low after the run. I experience it before during my earlier days. Replenish with the food n beverage served.

p/s: I would like to express my deep felt gratitude to CCUBE for organising the simulation run the day before the actual race of the Mizuno Wave Run 2008. I believe it has really help those here a lot especially those new to running. THANK YOU!

hi all, i hope you do enjoy the run this morning. as the simulation run show us what is the effect of running Double Hill in the reserve, it was indeed with a lot of downhill (bad for the knees) and a very fast course. i was very surprised with the time I ran and able to sustain that kind of pace throughout. the simulation run on Sat did give me some idea when to push and when to reserve energy for some hill climbs. anyway till the next race !!!!

Riq: Congratz on a strong run. You mentioned that you find it tough to run a  sub-50 10K run. There, you are almost there. Keep it up!

sfax: You did great. No shame in your results. You will definetely be better as time passes.

I myself did 00:49:28, position 130. The Saucony Fastwitch 3 was just simply AWESOME! Can't go slow with it. If it wasn't for the traffic at the start, I believe I would have broken my PB. But that's not something I want to bother about now. Most important is that I know. Anyway guys, keep the results coming! I will send it to Pacesetters to be published.

Phoenix: My starting line - finish line time (not gun time): 0:55:35
1st 5km: 0:27:59
2nd 5km: 0:26:55
Last 200m: 41 secs

Haha... so got negative split... smile.gif

My last race for 2008...

navilink: Both are pretty equal actually but Penang attract more runners. Wonder why. But I believe KLIM09 will be HUGE!

lexan: I like your attitude in going around asking people for us. Hope to see you soon.

berukberak: Thanks for the update. Enjoy your rest from running but prepare to have sleepless nights. Hehe...

the challenger: No more for this year. Now it's all majors.

andychee81: Please wear your watch and use it next time. Don't rely on others. Your own watch is the best timing. And we were looking for you cause Loke you are dressed in yellow like DigiMan. And for a FW3 user, you let the clan down.

meatball88: Mizuno timing you can check at Pacesetters website but it's not loaded up yet. Just check 10 minutes ago. And yeah, you can view the photos at http://penguin-r2.blogspot.com/. It's their official photographers blog.
