We all have curly hair.
My brother insists on growing long hair, but our parents want it cut short because it looks messy.
So instead of having his hair cut, my brother wants to have his hair straightened, and I have agreed to take him, either this weekend or the next. However, none of us know where to get it done as we (everyone in the family) either keep it short, perms it even more, or already have hair long enough to tie.
Do you guys have any suggestions where we can get it done? Other than that, does he have to take care of his hair differently? He currently uses Rejoice Rich shampoo and conditioner, he towel dries his hair, and uses a hairbrush.
An estimated price would be great too!
Thanks in advance.
PS - Preferred location is in/around Petaling Jaya.

Try Tony & Guys, quite professional...
Or a salon next to Robinsan, Gardens. They offer opening promotion now. Around RM300 for long hair plus hair cut & shampoo...

I went yesterday to the Gardens and didn't find any Salon next to Robinsons, so my bro has an appointment to go to Raymond Choon (2nd floor next to Isetan).

Hmmm, was that you in the blouse and long skirt, and brown braided hair, and your bro with the light blue t-shirt and brown slacks? If it was, then I was right behind you guys. I made the appointment yesterday, went today, and got it straightened. It was 3 hours of SHEER TERROR for someone who up until now had his hair done in a barber for RM10, but I am pleased with the result. Parents not too amused, but my mom says it looks better and will put up with it a bit longer.

Oh! I used to read your artblog, but you haven't updated in ages anymore! :\ Anyway, brother is going tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out. We'll probably end up ridiculing him for the first hour after he gets home, but who knows.

I went. However, I have nothing to compare it with since I've never been to a salon before. It did seem a little pricey, but since I'm working now I guess it's okay. Overall, would I go again? Yes. Until I get strong recommendations to go somewhere else. xD Lixx might have something to add though. This post has been edited by Afoxisko: Oct 17 2008, 12:35 AM

My bro got charged RM198. And he now looks silly! xD
No really, it's straight and all, but I guess it's just that we're not used to it.

For that price, in a giant & famous shopping centre, is consider cheap.
My friend tried another one in Gardens, for RM500 for a hair treatment. She swear not visit them any more. Not to mention the name here. But advise to ask the price in detail before agree to proceed the service. Hahaha...
