I hope they could recycle Macross 7 concept in the new macross (yeah bash me all you want).

I like the concept of playing guitar/music instruments to pilot a valkyrie rather than a diva sing inside a battleship to moralize the entire fleet.

Hate the idol theme, but I love the Valkyrie design. Much more aerodynamic design than Frontier.

If she is a singer or musician, Mylene probably married with Basara. But since she is a pilot, so Mylene maybe married with that silver haired pilot guy in Macross7.

But in wikia, it is stated that Mirage is Mylene's niece. So she is the daughter of Mylene's sister from Macross 7 OVA.

Macross 7? Mang I love Macross 7 more than Frontier.

Every Macross has their concept

Macross - about singer diva and transformable robot jet fighter pilot
Macross 2 (i dunno whther u guys wanted to acknowledge this OVA) - about a reporter, a pilot and an alien hynotized emulator singer
Macross plus - lagi gempak, about 3 sum love triangle and an A.I diva (AI? looks like MGS Patriot system copied from this)
Macross 7 - a singer and his band who fight the enemy by piloting a VF themself while playing the instrument and singing
Macross F - same as SDF Macross, but the hero get 2 singers as his harem, heck he also a cross dresser
Macross D - Idols~yaaay, a VF pilot who wish he is a ballet dancer and bunch of lengzai gay pilots piss off their people only has life span up to 30 years

So to make it short, Macross may not about VF alone. Its about singing combined with transformable jet themed. Just watch and enjoy la.

Hardcore fans never discriminate each Macross series. They accepted each Macross series coz its relation between song and VF. Is like Sound of Music married with Top Gun, but presented in diferrent way.

Macross 2 is not Macross DYRL. M2 Its a non canon macross ova that were written without the involvement of the most people from first Macross team production. Hence deswai Macross fans rejected this anime and considered as Non Canon. Its a Dragon Ball GT of Macross universe.

Batman vs Superman got low rating from Rotten Tomatoes but I find it entertaining.

Warcraft movie got bad rating from RottenTomatoes also but I watched it and I like it.

Captain America got highest in Rotten Tomatoes but I think the story was badly written after I watched it.

Many Gundam fans neglected Gundam Reconguista in G, but I dunno, I like how Tomino write the plot, reminds me of King Gainer.

Same as Macross7, where most Macross fans opted to consider Macross 7 didnt exist at all in Macross timeline due to their crap review (which most really of them reaally like Frontier). But Sheryl Nome admire Basara and her phrase "Atashi no uta kike" before start her song comes from Basara "ore no uta kike".

Doesnt matter about the review. Just watch and enjoy.

Macross (or the movie DYRL) was nice, Macross Plus pure awesome. You can also tried the non canon Macross 2 :Lover Again to get the same feel as Macross DYRL. But Macross 7, err... the storyline a bit "diferrent" from other Macross. Becoz there are no female singer you wanted to cheer or the upgrade process for the MC's Valkyrie that you can follow up unlike other Macross. Macross 7 is not about hero saving the world, its more about Basara and his FireBomber band wanted to perform in concert but end up saving the world,lol.

Keep continue the war for another 10 years la. Those Knights has short lifespan since they r Windemerean. But that includes Freyja la. Sudah jadi nenek tua by that time

Roy Fokker is in Macross 0, while Macross 7, they featured Max and Miria from DYRL where Max already a Macross 7 fleet comander and Miria as a mayor. In Macross F, there is a collab between Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee with Fire Bomber for medley Planet Dance/TOsugeki Love Heart.

I hope they can do the same for Macross Delta where they shud featured person from previous Macross.

Its from the game actually. But the video clip was done by the same anime studio. I like the video clip on how they featured all characters from Macross F attending Sheryl and Ranka Lee concert where on the big screen at the concert stage, showing Basara and FireBomber sing, along with Shryl and Ranka on the stage ala tribute concert to FireBomber.

Macross 0 IS BEFORE Macross SDF

when I said previous Macross, I didnt mean only Macross SDF\DYRL la. It could be Isamu from Macross Plus, Shery Nome from F or the great Basara from 7 as long as is before Delta. I only said Fokker is featured in 0 where he able to be appeared in 0 because 0 happened before SDF.

Hahaha kinda agree about this. In term of storyline, my opinion is SDF DYRL>Macross Plus>Macross Frontier>Macross 7>Macross 0>Macross 2 Lover Again>Macross Delta

But in term of concept, SDF>Macross 7>Macross F>Macross D>Macross Plus

Basically Macross Plus is reimagination of having Hatsune Miku in the world of macros universe as replacing the real life singer.

Still don't understand why people worship Delta than Frontier. Delta is worst than Macross 2.
