Watched 3.0. And seriously WTF IS THAT SHIT?

A giant trolling fest. Seriously, after all the 2.0 build up, it only leaves a tonne of more questions unanswered.

I....am tired of shouting curses now. I need to rest.

Why the f*ck is everyone such a c*nt in this show?

There are no likable characters in this show at all.

Mari is likable. I like Mari.

Why does everyone hates Kim Jong-Un in this world? Same reason.



Though my main problem with the movie is that there's too much of Shinji/Kaworu/Rei going on and totally zero development on Wunder's crew besides the Asuka/Mari bickering. Hopefully the teased scenes from the early trailers is in the final film, considering how lame it was to skip from 2.22's Mk06 descent to what it was in 3.33.

The main premise of the movie was flawed too



Maybe Anno trying to make us in the same situation as Shinji. I applaud his approach, don't get me wrong..

But its like taking a kick to the nuts. Repeatedly.

Anyway, this is a good, nay, a great movie. Great score, great action scene (Not as good as Asuka's EoE fight scene yet), Eyepatch Asuka is moe and tsundere at the same time, Utada Hikaru's Sakura Nagashi, AAA Wunder, I can go on and on but it just didn't have that "holy shit that is epic" Evangelion feeling. Mindf***ery is a staple in Eva (My most favorite Eva is still End of Eva. And that, is full of mindf***) but there is a difference between confusion as a plot device and confusion due to bad storytelling.

Hope 4.0 will answer everything left hanging in 3.0. Which I doubt so.

p/s: Read somewhere in the internet that 3.0 and 4.0 supposed to be released together? Can't remember where, but if this is true, maybe 3.0 ain't that bad after all. Its just incomplete

I love the franchise and the early DL speed is so shitty, so I thought about buying original. but considering I need to ship from japan, watching the movie comes first. i'll buy it once it comes to shore though.

so yes in the meantime, torrent I guess. some sites are offering DDL but no FHD

Its not as confusing. But it's borderline frustrating to watch. At least for me.

What I got from 3.0 was to expect 4.0 Shinji to not repeat the same mistakes again, and eventually redeem himself again.

i think Asuka summarized this movie perfectly in one sentence, he's still a brat.
and we're just watching him be a brat(d1ck) the whole movie lol

well, that was amazing. IMO, this better than 2.22. complex yes, but that's no reason to dis it. the plot takes a sharp turn in tone, and I for one, like it very much.

those who were hoping for some lovey-dovey happy ending or at least something in the "BAWWW" league will not be satisfied, obviously. not that I detest those types of tone, but they are old and overused.

yes exactly. everyone was frustrated that shinji had became a wimp again when they havent all considered the changes. plus, he's now the youngest character in the series, that teenage angst.

Dude, it's Evangelion. Nobody expects a happy ending from Evangelion, ever. Though from the preview of 4.0 it seems to cross into Guren-Lagann craziness later with 02+08 (Lol KamenRiderW)
