It already drop below RM400 last week or 2.
I saw couple of forumer selling below Rm400.

But now I aim for 1.5TB Seagate 32mb. Saw pczone price list stated RM480. Can some1 have chance to check it out it is real or typo mistake?

Is Seagate 1.5TB available in Lowyat at the moment?? Can someone help me to find out? I need to get one of this as soon as possible..

For 7.2k rpm 2.5" notebooks hdds u can try and find in lowyat plaza, but bear in mind that 7.2krpm hdds are much more expensive than 5.4k one. for 160gb 7.2k u can get 250gb 5.4k,just my 2 cents.

anyway, for raid 0 , how to backup the files in hdd since the hdd is running in raid 0?

about the wd 640GB HD --- this is my suggestion ....

DON'T BUY IT !!!

I bought one when it baru came out, within weeks, HD starts to behave strangely.

Upon checking -- BAD SECTORS !!

This is supposed to be a "perpendicular recording" drive, and still bad sectors?

The problem is that maybe thats why WD is the only one with 640g edition? How come other hdd makers like Seagate or etc dun have 640g? 

ive been using mine for months without a single hitch man.... and im sure theres alot of other people who are VERY happy with their drives....

guess ur just one of the unlucky ones...

oh....and send for RMA la...

eh bought 6 of wd 640 aaks for our office a few months back
and have been running 24/7 since then

and our technician check for errors on hdd every 6 months..
no prob so far...
but this was in a office that runs 24/7 in aircon..

anyone can recommend any program to monitor both WD and SG hard disk health in realtime?

what do you guys think bout the reliability of the Seagate Baracuda and Western Digital HDD?

previously when i was hunting for a reliable HDD, the IT guy in my company told me that most of the consumer hdd is not really reliable for 24/7 usage....when i asked further, he recommended my to go for the Seagate SV.35 series which is for Surveillance Video.....due to the fact that my company is a distributor for CCTV, they have tested quite a no of HDD in the market for reliability and after all these years, the most reliable hdd they have tested is the SV.35 series....i have also seen quite a no of Western D and Baracuda series coming in for RMA after 1-2 years of usage...

this really makes me wonder if the normal consumer hdd is reliable enough to last for bout 3-4 years operation because i have quite a no of movies n songs saved in it.....what do you guys think?

hi just wanna ask,

i want to buy an external hdd around RM250.
anyone can help where can i get a good, high performance and in that budget. if possible the shop around kl or selangor.
