just bought a new external hard disk from lowyat yesterday, my book home 1T, but when i access to it, the exact amount of space is onli 930 gb, where the rest go to?

i transfer everything to my external dy. And.... i start downloading lot of movie already, so if i wanna to transfer all my stuff from my external back to my computer again, there will be not enough space.... troublesome.... lol

Humble apology but i am facing some external hard disk problem. I have a 1000GB MyBook External Hard Drive. And all of a sudden it is not being reconized in "My Computer" i checked Device Manager and it s there and working fine it not being seen in "My Computer" have tried it on other computers and still no thing in device manager just not in "My Computer" I am on Windows Vista for your information. i have some many personal data inside this external and i seriously need your help. Thanks
