Purpose of using it will be to store picutures, music and videos.

Storage wise,I prefer the most cost effective capacity (In terms of RM per MB) . Any suggestion? 500MB or 1TB or any others

Transfer speed also I concern. Any relatioship between transfer speed and RPM? (Sorry for noob question)

Budget wise, any amount will do. As long as value for money. (Please don't treat this as 'no budget limit' thus suggest a super high end harddisk; 'value for money ' is the key words.)

Hello juzz wanna ask ler. In term of performance, between Seagate Barracuda and western Digital black edition which 1 faster eh?

I'm not sure about the other three, but the Seagate Freeagent 250GB is *very fast*. It reads at about 35MB/s, which is impressive for a USB hard disk.

Hey all. I wanna ask.
7200 rpm vs 5200 rpm, does the durability of both differs?
If both runs 24/7, is 5200 rpm still more durable because of its speed(slower means less wear and tear)?
Or just a myth?

Hey can anyone tell me where i can purchase a 2.5" Hitachi HDD?
More specifically i want the 5k500.b model..

need advice pls. I have a Seagate desktop hdd 250gb. the circuit board is fried. suspected cos of electric surge (I didn't use a surge protector that time)

Is it possible to change the circuit board to retrieve the data inside?

Just a question, how much faster is WD 1TB black when compared to WD 1TB green?
If the difference isnt big, den il go for green.
green consumes less energy. black consumes more energy but faster? how much faster??

p/s: my Seagate 500gb has died, it has the firmware prob(frm the faulty batch last year), since yesterday, my pc cant detect it anymore.
