how bou 3.5'' one?

Recently a lot Seagate hdd broke down? what models ?

isit necessary need to use the power adapter??
n can i ask hor..
y i see ppl using ext hdd without using the power adapter one??
dey jus cucuk n use je..

so which brand is preferrable??
and may i know how much the price roughly is?
btw..pc fair is coming soon..will it be ok if i buy during pc fair?

im about to buy 500gb harddisk or above but below 1tb tomorrow at pc fair ipoh(i heard its cheaper)..its 3.5" for sure~

would anyone tell me the good spec and good brand that wud not oftenly spoiled?

cuz i noticed some1 post dis very earlier on in dis forum saying:

Three biggest different between 2.5" HDD vs 3.5" HDD

1) Size itself of course
2) Being use externally, 2.5" can be powered by USB (1 x USB2.0 or 2 x USB1.1) while 3.5" will need extra power adapter.
3) 3.5" has larger capacity limitation compared to 2.5" and capacity / RM more value on the 3.5"

so...for 3.5'' rite..isit everytime wen v plug in to computer it has to be wif the power adapter as well?

im using WD Mybook 320g as storage for few months now. If you don't use it like 24/7 just unplug it. if you want to use, plug in it lor.... so easy mah..

hmm..i tink 2.5'' will be my final choice..
unless 3.5'' has more other advantages on 2.5'' (personally..i tink)

Caviar Black is for 24/7 like really the performance version for gamers and etc, green is like lower power and so-so performance, blue i think is normal.
Just wait a while more bro, i think 1tb hdd will drop somemore their price so don't buy the 500gb, go straight for 1tb,
