Use "OfflineMaps". MapsOffline is kind of outdated software... There is also "xGPS" as well which IMO is more fully featured.

Yea I do use OfflineMaps. Save a route and import meaning to say pre-plot an offline route? I usually use the GPS... wouldn't that be easier and much less work? GPS is free after all...
Assuming I got your question right and you still want to do it your way, I think it is briefly mentioned on page 2 of this thread which is FYI before Google Maps route feature for Malaysia got updated. But you're not in Malaysia either right? This post has been edited by wilsoncvt: Nov 19 2008, 01:22 PM |

Yea there has been reports on other forums as well but it was not after the FW2.2 but when OfflineMaps released a preview version early November. Whens the last time you updated the OfflineMaps app?

I'm about 1% away from downloading the whole of West Malaysia + Singapore map. It's taken me 4-5 days (24/7) to get this using GMDP. I'm thinking it will be useful for road trips. There is approximately 1.2+ million files in 4000+ folders which amounts to nearly 5GB in size.
Now, say once OfflineMaps gets updated to be compatible with fw2.2... do you guys reckon this ridiculously large cache file of mine will crash the Maps app? |

I've got the 18gb. Should be alright. I don't have a lot of media on my phone. Not too worried about storage.
