To convert from anything to pdf, a lot of freeware (primopdf, cutepdf etc) and free online service.

If u use Office 2007, you can download save as PDF plugin here.

Virtually, you can convert any document into pdf as long as you can print them out....as pdf itself is a kinda virtual printer.
