1) i think guys addicted to dota because it's fun, release their tense out. play online and meet new people. learn from someone. it even change the way they think. because its a strategy game.

2) depends on what type of girl his GF are. if the GF oso play dota, she will support her BF playing dota. even play LAN with him. lols.
If the GF is a gurly gurly type of GF and don't like the BF to play dota. she will sulking everytime her BF play dota la. i have a friend, she broke up with him just because the BF put dota as his priority. and didn't reply the GF text messagesss. lols.

if u are 4-7 years old, and u say game can teach u english. then i understand. but if u are already near adult and u say dota can teach u english, that means ur english is so bad until to no bottomless pit .

sorry I can't help you there. I've tried playing dota, and it didn't seem to fancy me.  In fact I don't know what the big deal is, and I don't see how people can spend 20 hours a day in the cyber cafe playing this game.

GTA is for kid,dota is for mindless adult.

Just grow up.

DotA isnt the only game around.There are loads of great games out there.

Just tell me one thing for all people who claim they can actually learn english through game:

-how good are you learning from game vs how good are you learning from english center

if you proclaim yourself could get a lot better than english learning center, obviously you are retarded. English doesn't consist only in vocabulary. You may learn new words, but grammar or proper words/pronunciation? Hmm, I really doubt that.

Observe well; apart from well designed games that cost millions; most of the free online or free games which translated from korean/chinese words are mostly broken english.

I played Dota for about 2 months and got bored of it.

If any future boyfriends of mine insists on playing Dota and or Counterstrike i'm ditching him.

I went to a net cafe to use the internet and this Malay guy sits next to me and actually played this cartoony game i've never seen before! He brought his own headphone, and mouse, and I asked him about it. He basically summed up the game for me and gave a commentary as he played while i just watched. So he explained why some things work, why some don't, why some things depend on luck, how to cause total paranoia as a spy, how to support team mates as a doctor, etc.

...as opposed to my 'friends' with Dota and Counterstrike: "Just play lorr..."
