Hey guys, As you can see on the above, my iphone's backplate pretty much had the aluminum color worn off. Through the image it might not look very serious, but trust me, it does not looks good. I am wondering if anyone here knows how to do a backplate replacement for the iphone? I would pay to get it replaced with a new one. I know replacement backplates exists, since there are several in the china market. I am wondering if anyone does it? Thanks!

Haha thanks guys. Do those sellers in digital mall or lowyat help you replace as well?
And no, I never attempt to open my iphone before haha, I didnt use it with a case, so things get this occasional wear and tear, i am surprised to see a really scratch free screen after 9 months of usage (compared to my old pda).
The only thing that tells that my iphone is 9 months old now is really only the backplate, so if possible, I would like to give it a fresh out a box feeling again xD
And to anyone who have doubts about iphone quality, all I can say is this is the best scratch proof product I ever used.
@ldragon: is that an iphone 3g? the sides look seriously terrible, u pry open izzit?

hmm interesting.. I will never attempt hardware unlock on an iphone, especially when it doesnt have warranty xD @ldragon : Any suggestions on the respray stuff? Maybe some aluminium ball pen can do the trick? haha [This looks interesting : iphone custom (really cool if we have that sort of technology to anodize our iphone covers @_@)] This post has been edited by wahkiz: Oct 4 2008, 02:48 AM

iphone spare parts are by apple? I was thinking it was from a 3rd party vendor.
Hmm.. that means.. all those spare parts sold at lowyat for 2G iphones are old stock? hehe
