im considering customizing dell with such option but i dono the difference beside some minimal softwares uses 64bit...is it significant or i can do away with either one?

and also, perhaps, u cud tell me should i go for business edition, is it necessary from ur point of view. even during xp times, pro was better in networking than home even for casual home user insipte of not a businessman.

thanks.

Vista 64bit can support more than 4GB of RAM while 32bit cannot. If you buying notebook with 2GB then 32bit should be enough.

Right Click Computer > Properties
In System Section > System Type

If it stated there : 32-bit Operating System..then it is 32-bit...if stated as 64-bit Operating system...then it is 64-bit
