I dunno much about property investing but one of the biggest launches should be Setia Walk by SP Setia in Puchong.

Seems like SP setia got alot of big projects coming up... Ecocity midvalley, setia city, setia ecocity...

SP setia..cash rich company...good developer..

Some possible areas to look at:
-Kota Damansara
-Guthrie Corridor (Bkt Jelutong, Denai Alam, Bkt Subang)
-Putra Heights, Kota Kemuning, Alam Impian
-Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Bandar Botanic
-Setia Alam

Any recommendations for a circa 250k property?

if around klang valley and thinking on landed property, very very difficult to get the pricing...
even bandar puteri klang (beside Kesas) cost RM275k+ last 6 months ago...

just visited sp setia office on setia walk project. there are 2 types of property offered there. One is commercial and service residence (apartment). I didnt ask for commercial lot because I know it will cost a bom, above 1million and service apartment starting from the lowest RM279k to RM300k, penhouse above RM600k.

You should be able to find houses slightly below 250k in Putra Heights, eg.
