Haha.. Not really eh! If assign 512mb ram to each VM, 4 VM will almost hogged the resource. Plus some other apps running on host pc.
Anyways, not much different for CL2 and CL 2.5 unless ur doing OC. Super PI quite depend on ram CL.

@ac_N1 Black pearl? Sold off separately but until i still use the 4Ghz core (processor) once awhile. I sold it to a one of my best fren who really take good care of it. Somehow went to that fren house to dig anime and sure play with it. I changed is due my HDD were all SATA and 1 of my onboard sata connector dead. So no point to hunt for mid range S478 mobo which is almost the same price as CD mobo.

Btw, my P4 at office just kaput. Duno what's going on.. Changed new PSU + AVR the hang problem still occurred. The morning even worse, cant even log into windows. Did some experience, the system seems to hanged once after 30secs. Tried without HDD boot into bios also will hang. Guess is the mobo giving problem. So bad.. Now i gotta use a AMD K6 466 + 384mb rigs as backup. The P4 ben sent into hospital.

Take off all, and wipe/vaccum part by part. So that when re-assemble in the casing, the part are shine. Usually take me 2-3hrs for a maintenance thou. Clean of thermal paste, replace in the new 1. Do cable management and so on. Hardest part to clean will be PSU that come with fan. Usually quality PSU comes with atleast 2-3years warranty so cannot take off the case. Just use brush/vaccum to clean off the dusk on fan. P/s: On the meantime, clean the computer table as well. This post has been edited by fylon: Oct 29 2008, 03:21 PM

Haha... Thats true. Even new rigs, i also dont have the interest to OC anymore. Doesn't worth to squeeze few % of boost but risk the components.

QUOTE(ravewar @ Oct 31 2008, 12:18 AM) IMHO, O/Cing depends on owners la... when younger...wanna do this faster, that faster....and when out of budget...kasi O/C kau kau... when become older...we tend to take things slower abit....and think all the pros and cons....budget wise, reliability wise, purpose wise...etc etc similar la...like when younger all wanna go clubbing, pubbing, etc etc....now...just have a beer and relax...as much as possible....before the kids come climbing all over you.... (speaking frm experience la.....) Hahahahah.. Quite for the month! Yea! Agreed with that.. Like me, after my P4 dead... And i start to say bye bye and step out from OC world. Just keep everything in stock.

Phew.. Take down a half day time for rearrange the cable management and rigs cleaning. Btw guys, did some benchies with SATA drive with IDE mode and AHCI. Result is like IDE mode, the SATA HDD seems like more responsive where in AHCI it werent that responsive. And also, for file transfer the speed on AHCI is seems faster then IDE.. Seems like both mode has their own pro and cons.

Not really.. Pro and cons.. If u multi task quite often, AHCI will be the best choice as the HDD has better reading/writing sequence. Haha.. Switch back mine to AHCI now.
