QUOTE(xyeohts @ Jan 29 2009, 05:23 PM) hey that would be quite pricey le.. hmmm have to think twice.. this or the DS-i.. but games for DS-i are much more fun.. what's "this"? I'd want a DSi only for the DSiWare.. some of them are awesome but of course, they're region locked >.> :\ And I rather wait for a while until they release more colors or limited edition, like Echoes of Time limited edition.. omg I love the design! QUOTE(takobo @ Oct 5 2009, 12:29 AM) I am planning to get myself on a DS handheld set. I ask around Sg.Wang for the price and this is what I get. Are you sure? Because I"m currently planning to buy DSi, and I've surveyed around Ipoh, PJ and KL.. the lowest price I could get is RM750 and that's including screen protector, silicone casing, R4i (or R4i Gold or Pocket) + 2GB memory card.. and I'm pretty much sure the memory card has no brand at all... the highest price is around RM870 or so. RM690 is just the console. Which shop sells the whole package for RM690?DS Lite (u get original set plus casing, charger, u guys knows the rest)= RM 350, R4 + SDCard = RM200, total is RM550. For DSi, u get everything including buying R4i + SDCard is RM690. For u guys who are also considering to buy one, here's the price in KL, more like a price guide for the moment Are the bargain good enough? or izzit possible to get it cheaper? and since i'm bit tight in budget...planning to get the Lite one instead of DSi. Was wondering izzit ok to get Lite only, worry about if Nintendo gonna stop making the Lite (like how PSP-2K production stop) and can I still get to download play with Lite (sharing a game from another unit which has the original game)? Those that's below RM800 need to trade charger, which I don't like. Those above RM800 gives free universal DSi charger. The only reason I"m still contemplating is because I need Acekard2i instead of R4. I'm soooo in love with the Japan's red NDSi.. which will be out in Europe this month... do you think it'll be out in Malaysia too? (I've only seen US consoles, not europe) This post has been edited by tokyotenshi: Oct 6 2009, 12:24 AM |

JB too far huhu..
Surveyed Sungei Wang... it's ridiculous. Most shops sell over RM830++ just R4i and memory card, the cheapest is console only for RM580 but that's Japan version .. the most expensive is RM1050..haha the most expensive ever. Found one shop that sells for RM680 with R4i, no screen protector, no casing nor pouch, no malaysian charger. One guy was arguing with me that 1.4 firmware is nonexistent.. eh.. and there's no such thing as updating firmware.. and there's no such thing as flashcarts being blocked.. he challenged me that no one has ever had their flashcart blocked by 1.4 firmware upgrade in malaysia and that it's just a nintendo tactic.. uhhhhh |

Got my pink US DSi yesterday Too bad it's a bit of a late purchase that I missed out the free 1000 points so no free Warioware I'm so in love with flipbook. QUOTE(Criollo @ Oct 8 2009, 03:09 PM) i Know DSi supports WPA...but does the game support WPA... thats my question. From what I've read, older games, I'm not sure if it applies to all or just majority of it that uses WEP will remain WEP even if you're using DSi.This is because i've read about older DSL games being able to support WEP only even if you are using a DSi. |

No difference in US and EU games except maybe the language a little bit, but no difference really. DS games are not region locked, so you can play games from anywhere. He meant DSi only game might be region locked, but no worries on that yet as there hasn't been any DSi exclusive games yet. There are games with DSi features, but not region locked.
DSiware is games or application you can download directly to your DSi from the DSi shop. You purchase them using points which you can buy. This you can only download from the shop through your DSi, and anything you download is locked... it's region locked and it's locked to your DSi which means you can't move it, you can't transfer it to another DSi etc. So this means, DSiware is region locked. Games are not. This post has been edited by tokyotenshi: Oct 17 2009, 08:26 AM |

QUOTE(sherine16 @ Oct 24 2009, 10:53 PM) Hello everyone.I wanted to get a DS but don't know either to get DSi or DSL...coz the price for DSi is just extra 200 from DSL.Is it worth to pay extra 200 for DSi ? only if you don't have the modem with wifi capability.. as long as your modem can be wifi, then no need adaptor.. but you can still use free public wifi at anywhere available. The guy who sell the console told me that if i want to use the wifi for the DSi i need to buy another adaptor...is it truth ? It wasn't build in ? Thanks alot. |

you can get as cheap as RM580 (japanese console only) at sg wang but not recommended there, and some great deals at garage sales or reputable seller like mr kyo depending on your preference..

1. I'm not sure about that
2. You mean games you buy through DSi shop? No, you can't transfer games. What you bought through DSi shop is registered to your DSi.. which means it's stuck there. Even if you sell your DSi and buy a new one, you can't transfer what you've bought. It can only be done by Nintendo people. 3. 1000 points = USD$10 = around RM34? 4. Not sure hope this helps |

QUOTE(wallance13 @ Nov 17 2009, 03:49 AM) Sorry i'm noob here. Plan to get a DSi but I don't know what version to get. I mean which region to get is best. US version is most common. Europe is okay too if you want other color not available in US (but uncommon in Malaysia, most if not all shops would sell US version), but Japan version is much cheaper yet it's only in Japanese.. the system language and DSi shop games.Any1 can guide me? |
