Ignorant? Seriously, what is the MAIN purpose of that said thread? You want the pros and cons, sure, but honestly speaking, is there really ANYTHING to discuss about which can't be done here? (in comparison to NDS)

The poll isn't even valid. Those who voted DSi haven't even gotten their hands-on time with it.

1. Those who voted NDSL are very aware that there's nothing special about the DSi and will stick to the NDSL for the moment.
2. There's nothing on the DSi that can appeal at us for the moment, because it has only been launched for the Japanese market, and every software, shop-wise is currently catered to them. That doesn't mean it'll apply to us(1:1) when it arrives the American shores.
3. Does better sound and screen play a big part, when the already good/perfect NDSL does it well? Does .25 inches of screen size make a BIG difference? Speakers? Bah, use an earphone. Beats the speakers any day.

Furthermore, the popularity of the DSi isn't judged by it's unique hardware, but more on the software. How many games have you heard of that justifies the purchase of the DSi? Other than Mario & Luigi 3, and maybe 3D Picross, what have you heard of that intrigues you to make such a poll and discuss?

All I'm saying it, there's not much that can be discussed/polled about until we get proper news for the American release. For those who want a DSi now, you're stuck with Japanese only software, unless, you wanna play DS games la(see point #3).

No need for so much bitterness. I'll put some sugar on this post.

Like SihumChai mentioned, 'the popularity of the DSi isn't judged by it's unique hardware, but more on the software'. It's just a game console with fun innovative features on the inside, not so much on the outside. And the psp-3000 or PSP Brite Lite can't even compared to it so best to just wait and see as time flies as the DSi or PSP or other unknown contenders will gain more popularity and then u can say it may be worth buying as a new game console in general and not just for the features itself. I'm just in for the games if there is any that'll catch my eyes on as the DS games like Bleach DS and Jump Super/Ultimate Star has got me to buy the DS and Monster Hunter series for the PSP.

For me I'll probably get 2 DSis if the rumoured DSi games are really region-locked. I'll look forward to seeing some cool games on the DSi. thumbup.gif
