cry.gif  cry.gif aiyaaa... why you bring back the sad story? But durability of Yonex racket nowadays is nothing compared to the olden days Carbonex series. BULLETPROOF! AT900T lost to an old Carbonex 8 vmad.gif aluminium body shakehead.gif

I think my Cab21SP is going to last me forever and same goes for my uncle's Cab21 (13+ years /w the old Yonex logo  flex.gif ) with all the battle scars to on it to prove!

Let's see how long all my racket will last since in the bag now left only AT700, Ti10 and Cab21. AT700 should go first I think as the 5 o'clock position grommet sinking already. Ti10 still okay at the current moment with 29lbs on it ( unsure.gif  hope it does not suddenly die on me like it happen to most of the Ti10 that I saw ) but if the old one don't go new one how to come? ARC10 ARC10  drool.gif
*
wow bro you better change your grommet! so sorry to hear that it had already shrunk in to the frame

i changed my grommet straight away right after AJ spoiled it, it was a brand new arc z and strung with nbg 98 @ 28 pounds

the whole grommet came out but he didnt want to re-string it for me sad.gif so i just cut the whole string n replace it with new grommets

Check this linnk out pretty scary and how helpful grommet is hahaha

Bring back the racket where it purchase? Usually the shop will help them to claim if confirm manufacturing defects.

When did you friend purchase the racket?

Im not sure about apacs rackets warranty maybe a year?

I have a friend who has a Yonex arc Z and clash it while playing and it broke in a month or so and claim back a new arc z after 4 months i think

EHhh i think string got alot of difference!

Heres my 2 cents

Currently I am only exposed to most Yonex strings and Zymax62 and Accupower62.

For yonex strings apple to apple comparison

all strings with the TI word behind each model has Titanium coating which is very slippery on strings.

Nanogy strings are equally slippery and after a few months of play the coating may wear off and you may need to change to a new string for a similar feel.

Basically I love BG80 =D but currently using BG66Maxima a .65mm string from Japan. I hate slippery strings because when i do trick shots such as slices it is inaccurate for me, BUT it may be different for you guys!

oh! I did a 29lbs on my zymax62 and accupower 62 which feels like a 31 for a BG66 so the thinner the strings try to lower down your tension since it feels stiffer!

what about string? maybe you should increase it to 27lbs and give it a try
they call it the lost child or stg..lol
doesnt have the zymax traits
i'm not sure but i think it increase the power
it's like curl your whole body backwards, and when release the curl towards front, it produces more power
*
Here's a video on smashes, if you dont understand chinese then ill translate it to you haha =p

It definitely gives more power because you are using your whole body major muscles and weight, better if you have a head heavier racket to add more mass to the smash

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF0zB2Ygz4o

Currently Im using BG66Maxima as my string haha I tried ZM62 but it breaks easily sad.gif

im a head heavy user (Been using AT700,AT900p and now N90)

IMHO

People get mixed up with control, anyways what is control?

I don't find any difficulty at nets using a head heavy racket, the only major difference i find is that when using an Arcsaber10 and N90 I find it very hard to lift the shuttle high when returning smashes during doubles aggressive play using the N90 compared to Arcsaber10.

Trick shots that only require wrist motion also requires more effort compared to a lighter racket.

That's my conclusion =)

master of trickshot tongue.gif

u tried zul's arc10 or u got ur own?

arc10 is easier to defense due to it being more balance..head heavy rackets move slower compared to even balanced and light head

Added on June 13, 2010, 1:17 am
it also depends on how heavy is the racket itself
a 2u at700 will make every strong guy cry lol
*
I got my own but now i gave my gf already haha she likes the racket too
I got it earlier then zul =p

Ehh ziggy!!! I didnt know you balik kampung till i asked everyone where you went! Thought you were mad at me sad.gif

QUOTE(Fantasia @ Jun 13 2010, 09:41 PM)
any1 can clarify this?? if i use the tension too high until i cant handle, beside the racquet will vibrate after i hit the shuttle, any other symptom to indicate that??
*
Ur arm will hurt after your game or maybe the next day wink.gif if not its alright! Some racket vibrates and some dont. if you are on a tight budget why not try apacs visible hollow series. Most of my racket that i have used dont vibrate much

QUOTE(doublezul @ Jun 13 2010, 10:29 PM)
is it true that bg80 string is nicer with high tension@25lbs+ ?
i want to try this string

bg80 users , what tension is the best??
*
I've been using bg80 for 2 years, its a great string! A standard rule would be, the ticker the string the higher the tension =D for example

usually you play with BG 66 @ 26lbs
with BG 80 try going 28lbs

=D

i strung my racquet with BG6(since that guy recommended, b4 this i was using BG65) in 26lbs(i increase my tension from 20lbs to 26lbs). it's kinda mix feeling when i use it. i feel that my backhand lifts are more powerful(in fact i just need to swing my wrist slightly slowly to send the shuttle almost out of the court), i also like the 'teng' sound it produced compare to 'pak' that produced by my previous string. but i feel that my forehand doesnt perform as good as previous 1... i wonder y.
*
I think it may be your technique hehe

stick the tape on the handle before u wrap the grip..this add weight
*
Hahaha better not stick at the handle dude later can get cancer biggrin.gif

Try taking out your buttcap at the racket there then only insert it in the wood. That's how tennis players do that but I don't know about badminton.

Lead tape can be easily purchased at any Tennis shop, would cost around rm20++

I just use normal factory grade tape on my racket from 9olock to 3 all the way and it felt better haha biggrin.gif
